Cory Smoot, guitarist for the insanely weird metal band GWAR who's stage name was Flattus Maximus, was found dead on their tourbus yesterday. No cause of death has been given at this time. GWAR is currently on tour in North America and they were about to cross over into Canada when Cory was found unresponsive and dead on the tour bus. He's been with the band since about 2002 I think and was actually a pretty great guitarist. RIP dude. Keep rocking in the sky bro.

Del the Funky Homosapien has finally announced that his long awaited sophomore record followup to Deltron 3030 has been finished. Rejoice.

I hate most rap almost as much as dubstep, but this guy actually makes some awesome music. http://www.youtube.c...chieBranson#g/u http://richiebranson.com/

I've become a big fan of Pandora, especially after seeing how much work they've put into it. Although I have a few qualms with the semi-limited music selection it's still by far my favorite place to find new music in genres I otherwise wouldn't find. For anyone that uses it, post some of your most favorite and used stations so we can have a listen! Miike Snow Radio - It consists of mostly bands like The Xx, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, and Phoenix for the seeds. It's a pretty electronic-based station. One of my favorites. bit.ly/OnIH5t Childish Gambino Radio - This is by far my most used and used and expanded station. It's really tailored to my exact listenings for rap and h…

Sad times indeed. Dave Brockie was found dead by fellow roommates within his residence yesterday. Dave was 50 years old at the time, and no cause of death is yet known at this time. Gwar was a legendary metal band, full of humor and even political messages. Their crazy style of outrageousness and insane costumes, combined with killer music, will never escape my memory. Rest in peace Dave.

Are a welsh pop punk band that are becoming quite well known in the UK, they have just released thier 2nd album- DIRT. It's a couple of songs from each band while they were on the Gigantour tour in 2005. Some solid ass kickery there. So far, every song is recorded in high quality and sounds awesome. Click

I just got back from seeing Big Head Todd at Irving Plaza in NYC .. and HOLY_SH*T can that guy play guitar!! Good lord what a great show!!

With Full Force 2011 For anyone that's interested in this type of music and has the ability to just up and go to Germany, this is gonna be epic. I already have my tickets in hand, and not to mention that there is gonna be a tattoo convention happening at the same time within the grounds is an added bonus.

http://epicgames.com/community/2011/04/fan-freebies-get-the-bulletstorm-soundtrack/ Okay... as if I didn't have reasons already to still get this game, now I have even more. They've gone and released the soundtrack, for free, to the fans. So go forth and get it already!

I also really dug your Lovage project with Dr. Octagon/Gorillaz producer Dan the Automator. Have you guys talked recently? Mike Patton: We talk all the time! He's good, he's in the Congo right now recording with [blur/Gorillaz frontman] Damon Albarn. I'm jealous! Yeah, we're talking about doing another Lovage record. Also, new Fantomas Director's Cut LIVE! http://io9.com/5823783/faith-no-more-singer-mike-patton-dishes-on-the-darkness-2-and-his-adventure-in-a-haunted-hotel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1nUBFKCgd8

Saturday night in my town, much to my surprise, there was a concert. Three people were scheduled to perform and unfortunately one of them, Tommy Ramone (yes, of the Ramones), has liver problems and had to cancel. The other two were still there. Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols!!! And Sylvain Sylvain of the New York Dolls! Holy crap it was a great time. So many great songs along with lots of rambling and stories, culminating with a joint perfomance by the two, made an incredible night. Here are a couple pictures I took. Sylvain Sylvain Glen Matlock I was super sad I didn't get to see Tommy, as it would have most likely been my on…

I love dirt nasty. You should too. He's the rapper from scary movie 3 or whichever one. Used to be a veejay on MTV back when being a veejay was still fashionable.... http://youtu.be/dgdNQuzARBI http://youtu.be/ZCeebCvgjws
