  1. A Crytek-authorised TimeSplitters game is in development for PC, built using the publisher's sparkly CryEngine 3. TimeSplitters Rewind is being worked on by a team of fans - including members of the original TimeSplitters staff at Free Radical Design. Rewind will include multiplayer modes and challenges taken from the original three games, re-packaged in HD. Classic TimeSplitters character Duckman Drake. The team plan to include over 300 familiar faces. Online play for 8-16 players and bots are in, project manager Michael Hubicka told Cooking with Grenades. But split-screen is out - CryEngine 3 simply does not support it at the moment. A demo is planned for December.…

  5. Graphics card maker nVidia has issued an apology to GeForce GPU users who have encountered "major performance and stability issues" with Tomb Raider in maximum settings. Tomb Raider (2013) Screenshot nVidia's Andrew Burnes placed the blame on Crystal Dynamics failing to provide a final build of the game with enough lead time ahead of its release, which introduced new issues that were not present in previously-provided builds. "We are aware of major performance and stability issues with GeForce GPUs running Tomb Raider with maximum settings," said Burnes. Anyone else play this? When Steam came out for Mac I had to try this game since I don't have a PC. I gotta say it is suprisingly great fun for the price! This will get me through until Diablo 3 comes out for sure and help curve WoW withdrawls haha. Even though I quit like a year ago I still have times where I want to play it but don't want to pay the monthly fee. Cataclysm has peaked my interest though might be hard to resist coming back for a short bit to check it out.

  7. Seems we are finally getting the release date for TL2. Developer's will divulge the date at Pax this coming Friday.

So I finally finished Borderlands 2 (which I'll still undoubtedly play more of later) and started up Torchlight II. It's pretty neat so far, though I haven't played much. I made an Engineer (tank with summons and some other tricks), but it was a tough choice between him, the Embermage (mage), and the Outlander (guns/ranged). Berserker looks dumb to me. One thing I do hate already, and hated in the first and with most games like this, is the lack of respeccing. It was absent entirely from the first game, and with so many skills with so many ranks to invest in, that's a real pain. I don't want to have to use a guide to make a solid character, I'm playing for fun and li…

Link to site For those of you that don't know, Two Guys from Andomeda was the duo that created the Space Quest games. They disappeared for quite some time and all of a sudden decided to get back together again and create a new 'Spaceventure'. I don't know if it will be the next Space Quest game, or something entirely new, but either way, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am. Doesn't sound like they are going to jump on board the Kickstarter bandwagon. At least not yet anyways. I realize I may be showing my age by getting excited for all these old games, but who cares, they were what made me the gamer I am today.

  17. So the Space Quest creators did end up going the kickstarter route to fund their SpaceVenture. Here's the link http://www.kickstart...rs-of-space-que One thing they're doing different is releasing a demo every 100k tier they meet. Not sure if this is after the 500k or on the road to 100k.

You are not going to trust your ears The sound effects are among the most important features in a horror game. This is where U55 - END OF THE LINE is truly innovating. The acoustic background is centered around the use of subliminal messages. The most important aspect are the BINAURAL BEATS. Binaural Beats were discovered in 1839 by Doctor Heinrich W. Dove and is commonly used for meditating and in psychotheraphy. It influences brainwaves by applying soundwaves that run on the same frequency as your brain in a specific emotional state. For instance, you can calm someone down when he's upset by adding frequencies the brain has in sleep mode. But, of course, the effect …

http://store.steampowered.com/app/294860/ So this was originally a PS3 title. Absolutely fantastic game with a great art style. It's like a cross between third-person shooter and strategy role playing. Having played it back when it was on console I can really recommend playing this! I may even buy it again considering I no longer have my copy plus this one comes with all the DLC!

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the free Portal 2 DLC titled "Perpetual Testing Initiative" will be available for the PC and Mac on May 8th. The "Perpetual Testing Initiative" allows players to easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles.
