  1. he security of your information is critically important to us, so we’re really sorry to share that a portion of our North American account information was recently compromised. What we know: usernames, email addresses, salted password hashes, and some first and last names were accessed. This means that the password files are unreadable, but players with easily guessable passwords are vulnerable to account theft. Additionally, we are investigating that approximately 120,000 transaction records from 2011 that contained hashed and salted credit card numbers have been accessed. The payment system involved with these records hasn't been used since July of 2011, and this ty…

http://www.techspot.com/news/39727-npd-48-of-pc-games-sold-in-2009-were-downloads.html The NPD is FINALLY tracking digital downloads. Showing that 48% of games sold in 2009 on the PC were digital downloads. I bring this up because they historically haven't tracked digital sales. That's 23.5million hard copies and 21.3million digital ones. Easy to spew PC gaming is dieing when you don't count half of the damn sales! Glad to see they're finally catching up with the times.

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today released a free update to Portal 2's in-game puzzle maker that lets users design and publish co-op test chambers. Since its release on the PC and Mac in May, 2012, community map makers have used the Steam Workshop and Portal 2's in-game editor - called the Perpetual Testing Initiative - to create and share more than 170,000 single-player test chambers. With this update, the community will for the first time be able to design puzzles that require two players working cooperatively to solve. This update also introduces a "Quick Pla…

We are very proud to present the debut trailer for Reset. Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get. Except hopefully a little bit better since we’re not even in alpha yet. This is however a big milestone for us, and we are going to be concentrating more on the gameplay side of things next. Ladies and gentlemen, Theory Interactive presents, Reset Debut trailer. http://reset-game.net/

First I've heard of this, but it is pretty neat. Basically allows you to instantly play a PC game demo in your browser. Very similar to OnLive, but I don't see any option to play or purchase full games on it. http://www.gaikai.com

  13. Graphics card maker nVidia has issued an apology to GeForce GPU users who have encountered "major performance and stability issues" with Tomb Raider in maximum settings. Tomb Raider (2013) Screenshot nVidia's Andrew Burnes placed the blame on Crystal Dynamics failing to provide a final build of the game with enough lead time ahead of its release, which introduced new issues that were not present in previously-provided builds. 17. Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue. Broken Age development began when we asked our community if they would help us create a classic-style adventure game without needing to rely on traditional publishers. It turns out they did. And ever since day one, 2 Player Productions has been recording the whole process…

Among The Sleep invites you into the mind and body of a two year old child. After being put to bed one evening, mysterious things start to happen. Being played in first person, the game let its players immerse themselves in a child's limitless imagination. This is a perspective we all have a distant familiarity with, but few can clearly remember what it felt like. In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity. Among The Sleep is set for release on PC & MAC next year, but you can bask in some of its glory already, by downloading the wallpape…

http://www.cityofheroes.com/en.html Ever wanted to be a super hero (or a super villain) growing up as a kid? Maybe you tied a towel around your neck pretending it was a cape like Superman's, or you tinkered in unr dad's garage trying to turn the lawnmower into a suit of armor like Iron Man. Well...now a days, it's a little easier to get closer to being a caped crusader or a dastardly villain. Even after 5 years, the City of Heroes MMO is still going strong and with their latest release/update/expansion "Going Rogue" it gives you the ability to have your hero "go to the dark side" or have your villain "redeem him/her self" and swap sides. (Not to mention if you're looking…
