APB: How To Blow $100,000,000 "Just walk away, venture capitalists. All you have to do is just walk away." "If you ever wanted the answer to the question “how to spend $100m on an MMO” (are you listening, Bioware?), the UK is the place to be this week, or at least to review the damage. Three sources from Britain analyze what is, if not a neutron bomb, at least a very explody one, with game industry recruiters already combing the wreckage for cheap ‘acquisitions’ of talent." Read the rest, here.

Ever heard or played of an awesome PC game called Dungeon Keeper (or Dungeon Keeper 2)? It was a strategy game where basically you're an evil guy who needs to build an underground dungeon. By controlling your creatures you can carve out your dungeon, add things like libraries for your wizards, torture chambers, prisons, living areas, training rooms for your monsters, etc etc. These monsters you attract to your dungeons will fight off invading heroes who want to come and destroy you. They were REALLY funny games and surprisingly complex. I spent MANY MANY hours playing both of those games, but these were released a long time ago. I'd always wanted a remake or a sequel …

“Pirates of Black Cove is an adventurous strategy game that our community has been waiting for,” said Brendon Neuwerth, COO of Nitro Games. “Combining proper skills with the right amount of Pirate bluster, a pirate might just have a shot at ruling both land and sea. And keep in mind that dead men tell no tales... Savvy?” Getting promotions within the pirate brotherhood requires force, daring, guile and even deceit. But be careful, because other pirates will be competing for promotions too. However, bribery, favors and outright assassinations will ensure that you climb the ranks faster. Join infamous pirate strongholds like Port Royal and Tortuga. As you are promoted to …

German news site Boerse-Express is reporting that the publisher has failed to recapitalize its way out of crushing debt. For all intents and purposes, the company would now appear to be toast. JoWood had been granted a stay of execution by a Vienna court in January as it tried to find new investors to inject cash into the ailing company. The two investors that looked most likely to save the publisher have both pulled out, and the huge amount of debt incurred by JoWood in previous years and a disastrously unprofitable 2010 looks to be insurmountable. The standard bankruptcy filing the company is now in could result in individual properties being sold off to pay back its cr…

Been playing this after seeing ad on Facebook for past few days. Seems fun, its free but you can spend money on game coins. So far I've not needed to but am still in beginner time. Its not something I'd spend money on TBH but it is fun enough to kill time.
