Mass Effect 3 Delayed to 2012

Sounds like I made the right decision so :P

Appealing to wider audience = making so easy there is no satisfaction in playing and using a more generic story line :(

Or spending all their time forcing multiplayer in the side like PK said :P

I loved ME1 and ME2. There was great satisfaction in both games.

I played through the first one twice and the second one only once. I get what everyone is saying about the second one but in my opinion you should not pass on it especially since you could get it for no more than $20. The game is a steal at that price and hell you might like it more than the first. You never know. It was fun and I am going to play through one more time before ME3.

Oh yeah and lets not forget.......BORDERLANDS!

Both are on sale on Steam today. $5 for the first, $10 for the second. Also $20 for ME2 Deluxe which has some of the preorder and collector's bonuses. I don't remember if it's the gun I used, but I think it is, the Incisor Rifle in that pack is pretty good, with the accurate three round burst. It might have been some other gun in game that I used that did that though, don't remember.

Seeing them on Steam makes me realize, I'm going to want to get the third game on PC, but have the others, with my saves, on 360. I'm wondering how the intro to 3 will work out, if you can choose some options to, for instance, make it as if you romanced Ashley in the first game, and didn't cheat on her in the second. If not, I may just get it on 360, especially if there's some MP to play with friends (though I don't want there to be).

I had Ashley in the first game, but cheated on her in the second so I could get all achievements in one playthrough lol (even though the new romance options sucked), so if I was to get it on 360 I'd need to play it again to not do so. But I guess on PC I wouldn't have to worry about that, though my options of what I've done in the past games may be limited. :/ Things like the Rachni supposedly coming to your aid against the reapers if you saved them, I wonder if you could even have happen without playing the previous games.

EDIT: Dat beat me to announcing the Steam sale as I wrote this wall of text. lol

Hmmmm, maybe I should get ME2 on PC so I can use this method to possibly import my save to it, then when I replay ME2 it can be on PC, with my character, who will then be ready for ME3 PC:

For my Steam library, maybe I'll just get 1 and 2 again for that price, and possibly even just replay them with a new character later this year or sometime next when 3 is going to get ready to come out?

Hey Kev,

Seeing how they did Dragon Age 2 with the three possible options you could choose from on a new game if you did not play the first one gives me hope that you may be able to tweak things to your liking somewhat when you start ME3. Actually, Dragon Age 2 told me even if I did not finish 1 but had a partial game save it would fill in the blanks logically for me according to my decisions thus far which was nice.

On Mass Effect 1 I replayed it a few months back again just because I did not save the council my first time through but wanted to save them to see how it affected ME2 and possibly ME3.

To my knowledge there will be no MP. I thought they officially announced that?

Anyone play a Femshep? I have never played a male shep. To me Shepard is Female. I tried to be a male shep once but just did not fit. Hale's voice acting to me is so much better and it was much easier to look at my character all game since it was female lol.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I play on 360 for these games.

I agree, I like the voice actress Jennifer Hale since her voice is very recognizable (like a female Steve Blum), and playing as a female Shepherd was fun for a while, but the romance options just get too awkward with dudes hitting on you lol. At least you could romance Liara in the first game lol. The male Shepherd voice actor is pretty good imo.

I hear you it was awkward with the dudes hitting on you lol. Given that, I romanced Liara in the first and with the lack of girl options for ME2 I did not cheat on Liara but instead had fun with Kelly in my quarters at the end of ME2 without Liara's knowledge :) I would of cheated if Miranda was down but to my disappointment she was not.

This. I just got them on Steam, and I may as well just start a new character if I'm going to replay them both anyways. Importing your character is only significant in terms of levels on the same game, as the most you get for a max level character imported from 1 to 2 is like 5 levels, and some credits if you were rich in the first game.

Also I see that rifle comes in a $2 DLC pack, so if I really want it I can get that, it's not worth it to get Deluxe edition when I already have the art book/comic/etc. bonuses from the 360 version.
