im currently in q for a mount for WoW, the wait time is at 8 hours right now :blink: right now im 119,000 in the q. at 25 buck a pop thats damn near close to 3 million bones off of this. some one has really got their thinking cap on at blizzard today

lol, MMOs themselves are the thinking caps. The ones that get you to pay above and beyond the monthly fee are just plain genius. However, to the true MMO players there is absolutely no denying the price/payoff ratio. The money is clearly worth the time you play... provided that's always enjoyable time.

it scales with riding speed, based on your your riding lvl. so if your training only lets you got 60% it will go 60% until you up your speed. when i get mine an activate it it will go 310% (330% cause im a pally). it nice cause you get to use it on every toon you have and will ever make on your account. and if it wasnt for the fact i dont have a badass flight mount i would have passed on this

Anything can seem crazy in amounts of numbers, but that's the beauty of the equation. 25 bucks isn't really stupid unreasonable for a mount that can be used on any toon on your account. I mean, everyone's guilty of paying 10 bucks or more for DLC that adds far less overall. The blizzard equation is that over 100s of thousands it adds up to a LOT of money. I wonder what the profit off of WoW is though. Undoubtedly the game costs a lot to upkeep as well.

15 bucks per account, every month. 180 bucks a year per account. multiplied by the however many millions of accounts there are and you get the idea. im sure they dont even notice when something needs to be fixed

Yeah, that's overall income, but it takes a lot to keep all the people employed in the various positions. Just the server costs alone are probably insane.

no one says you have to buy it. its more like here is a shiney new toy, if you want it you have to buy it. if you dont want it then dont buy it. think of it like dlc, you pay'd for the game and now your spending more money on some extra new content

blizzard has an entire online store that you can buy stuff from. they have been doing the in game wow stuff for about a good 6 months now that i know of anyway. http://us.blizzard.com/store/browse.xml?f=f:1 there is some cool stuff in there but way exspensive to sometimes.
