My nephew just returned from Afghanistan I guess the army did a story on his return. He has had a rough time but has turned it around. He is the oldest grand kid in our family only 5 years younger than me. Real proud of him. http://articles.springsmilitarylife.com/sections/article/gallery/?pic=1&id=164&db=colmilitary

A video has been uploaded by Youtube user kick755 that shows him playing Dead Space 2 with Kinect and a Wii remote in his right hand. In the video, Isaac Clarke responds what seems to be perfectly to kick755′s movements, mirroring him exactly. If this video is legit, it does help to prove that games that are not sports or recreation types can respond well to Kinect. via KinectHacks View the full article

Alright so basically, I'm interning at a senate campaign in the communications department. They asked me to analyze this video that has gone viral: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htX2usfqMEs. And honestly, I'm taking this internship to learn but I have no experience in this field at all. Does anyone know of a website with youtube stats and I can see where it has been linked or anything?

Gaming retail giant GameStop and the successful online gaming website IGN have merged together in an effort to attract more gamers to do what else, but to visit their websites if that was at all necessary. The details laid out from Kara Swisher’s blog, All Things Digital describes the merger regarding the advertising end. Both websites will be sharing traffic as well as advertising their ads on the other website including buttons on IGN for e-commerce buys from GameStop. View the full article

If you are from a large family like I am you might enjoy this, it was tradition to line up the kids Christmas morning from youngest to oldest, this is a poem my brother wrote about it. Fifth from the Front By Eric Christensen Fifth from the front Fourth from the rear Anxious to see if Santa’s been here Wish Dad would hurry And give the “All Clear!” ‘Cause I’m Fifth from the front Fourth from the rear A Family Tradition Since beginning of time Some parents enjoy forcing children to line From young to the oldest And it’s really not fair ‘Cause I’m Fifth from the front Fourth from the rear And it’s moments like this That I really don’t see Why Mom and Dad didn’t stop a…

  8. This makes me sad. Capcom Mobile has released a game, called MaXplosion. It's a 100% blatant rip-off of the amazing XBLA title 'Splosion Man. I am a sad panda. What sucks even more is that Twisted Pixel pitched the game originally to Capcom and were turned down. Here's a twitter feed from Twisted Pixel: http://twitter.com/#!/mikehasnoluck/status/24945224337850369 https://twitter.com/...994771051220993

  9. PlayStation 3 and PSP owners had cause to celebrate over the weekend, when Sony announced that it had begun enabling some functionality of the PlayStation Network and Qriocity, as well as relaunching Sony Online Entertainment games. However, despite Sony's claims to have rebuilt the services with a greater emphasis on security, Japanese officials are demanding greater transparency before authorizing their relaunch. Sony still faces hurdles before relaunching the PSN in Japan. The Dow Jones Newswire reports that Japan's Media and Content Industry department at the Ministry of Economy is holding up the relaunch of the services until Sony offers greater transparency on the s…

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience” – Microsoft, Support If you happen to sign into Xbox Live at some point today you might have noticed that there are issues with Xbox Live Marketplace. Those problems are not your imagination and are widespread. Microsoft released a small statement regarding the Marketplace outage on their support page and said that Xbox Live users are experiencing issues when browsing the Games Marketplace, checking out Indie Games from a 360 or Xbox.com, and issues are being reported with the Games for Windows on a PC. It’s one thing to make an object invisible, like Harry Potter’s mythical cloak. But scientists have made an entire event impossible to see. They have invented a time masker. Think of it as an art heist that takes place before your eyes and surveillance cameras. You don’t see the thief strolling into the museum, taking the painting down or walking away, but he did. It’s not just that the thief is invisible — his whole activity is. What scientists at Cornell University did was on a much smaller scale, both in terms of events and time. It happened so quickly that it’s not even a blink of an eye. Their time cloak lasts an incredibly tiny fraction of a fraction of a second. Th…

Ninja Gaiden, one of the toughest games to ever grace a console is back and there’s a brutal trailer to prove it. At GDC, Tecmo revealed a teaser trailer that shows a bloody and yellow eyed Ryu, shoving a sword into presumably an enemy and then about to reveal himself when it cuts away to a screen that says, “Unmask E3 2011″. In a gaming world where first person shooters are dominating, Ryu cannot come soon enough. via Joystiq Tweet This Post(for the video, view the article) View the full article

  17. President Mohamed Morsi has been stripped of his power by the Egyptian army and the constitution has been suspended, General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said in a statement. Egypt's chief justice of the constitutional court will become the interim president. Morsi has moved to an "undisclosed location," a presidential aide told AP. He stated earlier that he does not recognize the "military coup," and called on Egyptians to stand against it. http://rt.com/news/army-egypt-roadmap-protest-633/ http://rt.com/news/egypt-ultimatum-expires-protest-616/

  18. Overpriced, lacking, or just plain sucks. Those are a few of the words used by gamers to describe the behemoth that is the Xbox Live Marketplace. Why have gamers turned so hostile towards the one stop destination for all things 360 and is Microsoft, the developers behind the games, or are the gamers themselves the ones to blame for the growing number of angry remarks being made against the marketplace? In part one of this two part series, we take a look at just how much gamers are spending for their games. View the full full article

OnLive has announced that Duke Nukem Forever will be launching on their game streaming platform coinciding with the games US launch on June 14th. Partnering with Gearbox Software and 2K Games, they have also announced that with each pre-order, you will receive either a free game or the OnLive Micro Console. This deal is very similar to things they have done in the past with high profile game releases. John Spinale, OnLive VP of Games and Media had this to say: “The satirical and action-packed gameplay of the Duke Nukem brand makes it a fantastic fit for next-level, easy-access gaming on the OnLive service. Members can laugh, taunt and quote Duke-isms in real-time …

Some of you may remember back in May, some indie developers got together and put on a cool little pack of games for charity called the Humble Indie Bundle. Enticing you with a hilarious video, you could choose how much you wanted to pay for the bundle, and how you wanted your money distributed between developers and charities. It turned out very successful, and it seems they’re at it again, with even more great games. The best part is you can still choose what to pay. You could donate a pittance, or you could donate a sizeable amount for bonus Karma, or “feel-good points” if you’re not into that sort of thing. Check out the video after you hit the jump 20 pixels belo…
