While speaking directly to Eurogamer, Phil Harrison attempted to clear up some ugly rumors and conflicting reports that surfaced since Microsoft's reveal of Xbox One.One of those conflicting reports that Harrison was quick to dispel was the report that the Xbox One will require a constant connection to the internet. "Some bits of the system will work offline. I think the key point to make is that Xbox One requires an internet connection, but it does not need to be connected all the time..." Just to repeat that, THE XBOX ONE DOES NOT REQUIRE A CONSTANT INTERNET CONNECTION MMMKAY? Another rumor that Harrison attempted to clear up was used games and digital permissions. "So,…

When Watch Dogs was delayed around the time GTA V released, many thought that Ubisoft was worried that their sales of Watch Dog would tank due to the popularity of the GTA series and also considering that Ubisoft created Watch Dogs in part to compete with games like GTA and Saint's Row. However, Ubisoft's Communications Manager Gary Steinman answered that question in a recent blog post on Ubi Blog and also answered other questions about the game in the comment section of his post where he revealed that the delay was not about the release of GTA V, but about the quality of the game. "We respect GTAV quite a bit. It’s an incredible game. But this decision doesn’t have anyth…

Developed by: Arrowhead Studios Published by: Paradox Interactive Platforms: PC Players: 1-4 You already know we here at Gamercide love Magicka. But does the new DLC stand up to the greatness and originality of the main game, or will it just leave you with nightmarish Vietnam flashbacks? Magicka: Vietnam is a fairly small DLC. It consists of two new Challenge maps, and adds nothing to adventure mode. However one of the challenge modes is structured similarly to adventure mode, with three screens you must make your way through to complete the level. The other mode is a new arena with just one small area to face waves of the new enemy types just like the other arenas The …

Developed by: Volition, Inc. Published by: Deep Silver Platform: PC (Reviewed), PS3, Xbox 360 Release Date: August 20th, 2013 Players: Single Player and Co-op Rated M for Mature by the ESRB The Saint's Row series has lately become known for how ridiculous and over the top it is. But how do you top a game where you can run around beating people to death with a giant dildo bat? Apparently you not only make the player the president of the United States, but also give them superpowers. Saint's Row IV is a bit of a departure, even from how wacky the last game got. The Earth is threatened by evil alien overlord Zinyak, and the player and the gang are abducted right out of the o…

Gamers who purchased the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from GameStop found out the hard way that they did not receive the promised OnLive code that was suppose to be included with each new copy of the PC game. It’s being reported that once customers got home, cracked open their “new” game, the code was not there, and GameSpy has uncovered an email that circulated to GameStop employees telling them to open each new copy of the PC version of Dues Ex and remove the OnLive code without telling potential buyers. Why do you ask? The following statement from GameStop public relations representative, Beth Sharum sums it up pretty well. “Square Enix packed the compe…

The Playstation 4 is rumored to have been spotted suffering from what is being called the "Red Line of Death" while the display console sat in an unventilated display case during an event where Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was being shown. The supposed photo which appeared in a forum post on Spanish website, Elotrado claims that the PS4 displayed an error message on the TV that said the console was experiencing a high temperature and a red line appeared where it is normally blue. The display PS4 console then shut off, which both the Xbox 360 and PS3 do when the consoles are overheating. The security case was then opened and the error message was removed from the tv, fo…

The highly anticipated prequel to the God of War series, God of War: Ascension released today, but not without meeting some controversy from overly sensitive reviewers that caused the developers to change the name of a silver trophy titled "Bros Before Hos".This simply named trophy caused a media backlash from reviewers including Adam Sessler who called the trophy "misogynistic" meaning characterized by a hatred of women, during his own review. "This gut punch of misogyny irredeemably sours this game and it's shocking that such a talented developer would traffic in such a contemptible attitude. I have always liked the adult fantasy of the God of War games - that Grand Gui…

You be the judge Crystal Dynamics recently revealed that along with the rips, tears, and bruises of a much younger and inexperienced Lara Croft in their upcoming reboot Tomb Raider, Ms. Croft will also face an attempted rape. This statement was later clarified by Crystal Dynamics where they claimed their words were twisted by online gaming website Kotaku during the interview that has seemed to outrage fans of the series and the gaming population in general. So what’s the big deal? Why can’t a video game explore a more mature and vulnerable storyline involving a female that is usually strong and very dependent? Movies, novels, etc…seem to be able to get away with telli…

Along the way, Logan will find hunting gear and firearms to aid you in your battle of survival against the scariest foes that the Alaskan wilderness has to offer. This highly anticipated game is expected to launch on all consoles on November 1, 2011. I have one question though.
