  1. EA is denying a report that went public over the weekend claiming that the money hungry publisher of the survival horror series Dead Space not only ceased production on Dead Space 4, but also canned the whole entire series due to sluggish sales of Dead Space 3.The report being pushed around the internet began on online gaming news website, VideoGamer.com where they claimed a credible source spoke directly to them stating that Dead Space 4 was in pre-production with Visceral Games' Montreal. However, plans changed after EA made a visit to the small studio this past February and it was announced that pre-production on Dead Space 4 was to be stopped. To further complicate ma…

  2. Speaking directly to Edge, Braid developer Jonathan Blow explained why his next indie game, The Witness, will be releasing on the Playstation 4 first as a timed exclusive and Microsoft you better be paying attention."I’ve had a bad time working with Microsoft in the past. Maybe not super bad, but a moderately bad time in terms of business relationships. Other developers who are friends of mine have had a horrible time, so the idea of signing up again with Microsoft isn’t something I’d have ruled out, but there’s a certain amount of dread I have about doing that again. I don’t have that with Sony. Who knows, maybe it’ll turn out to be just as bad at the end! But I don’t th…

While Assassins-in-Training maybe mourning the lack of achievements/trophies in the Battle of Forli DLC (out Jan. 28), the trailer highlights some of the story potential that the Memory Segment 12 offers. And while this might not be "Episodes of Renaissance" like GTAIV's DLC, the potential for such expansive DLC is there. Via Kotaku Click here to view the article

One of Dead Rising 2's new features is the ability to create and customize new weapons. A meta website, Tape It or Die, has been created to help residents of Fortune City survive the zombie plague that started five years ago by making them aware of the various methods of weapon creation, providing blogs and pictures in hopes of creating the "ultimate weapon." What they may have provided, though, is perhaps the "ultimate spoiler". For those of you who haven't survived the outbreak of Willamette, Colorado, be warned, there be spoilers ahead. So "Johnny Pipes", one of the bloggers and founders, blogs about a recent outing yesterday where he took some photos of new hero Ch…

  10. Last week we posted one of the gameplay videos for Megaman Universe. It evoked classic Mega Man gameplay...almost a bit TOO classic, as the stages seemed to resemble remixes of stages from Mega Man 2. And we still had no clue about the special characters that would guest star (Ryu and American Box Art Man). Well, Capcom Unity has revealed the nature of Mega Man Universe. The people behind the new stages and characters won't be the Capcom designers but the Mega Man Universe players. Taking cues from Little Big Planet, Mega Man Universe will allow players to not only customize and create their own unique robotic hero from various parts of classic, new, and guest charact…

If Halo can do it, why can't Metroid. Watch as Samus walks through a war zone in the Zero suit and explains a little about the games plot that Team Ninja is putting together in their upcoming game for the Wii. I hope to get a better copy of the commercial later today, but this will have to do for now. Enjoy! Click here to view the article

  15. Sure they just announced the game a few days ago, but with 10 years and both Marvel's and Capcom's rosters having grown by leaps and bounds, speculation as to who the new and returning challengers will be has already got fans on the net speculating. While only 6 have been revealed so far (3 on each side, and all fighting game vets except for Chris Redfield), the trailers and promotional posters almost act as teaser reveals for the characters yet to be revealed. Think you recognize any? Hit the jump for speculations from Kotaku. While Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will most likely not reach the 50+ characters of the previous game, that's hardly something to be upset about, as mos…

  17. With each and every “Gabbin’ with Gamercide” we will look to bring you many interviews with members of the gaming world, from not only the console world, but the mobile gaming market as well. We try to give a “behind the scenes” look at what makes each company do the things that they do. In this interview, we get to know the CEO and Founder of one of the premier mobile gaming developers in the market today Kiloo. Teaming with Manomio, Kiloo worked to release one of the very first retro gaming emulators for the iPhone, C64. C64 as I’m sure you can guess is a Commodore 64 emulator that lets you relive those awesome 80s games on the go. This did not come without its hic…

Following my review of Inside a Star-filled Sky, I had a chance to talk with the developer, Jason Rohrer about some aspects of the game. He answered some of the questions I had and was able to provide some insights into the game's design. The following are some excerpts of the chat that I had with him, edited into Q&A format. Q: Any survival tips? Q: The game has a very unique concept, but I had some trouble in later levels. Q: I really do like the idea of it, but it is indeed more of an "art game" than something you can just play indefinitely like Geometry Wars or something. Q: Ever consider something like a shield power up, or maybe a bullet effect that makes y…

Xbox 360 users who own the motion based Kinect are in for a treat today. An update for Netflix has gone live allowing Kinect users to their hands and voice to navigate through the many menus of the popular movie and television show database. Do not get to excited yet to toss your controller aside and cuddle up on the couch with a bubbly beverage of your choice. According a Microsoft Representative who spoke with Joystiq, while all of the titles are Kinect enabled now, there are only a select number of titles that are available from the Netflix Kinect dashboard that can use both voice command and hand gestures. You can find these as "recommended" movies and shows. via J…

  24. Yet another rumor has entered the rumor mill surrounding the hush hush next Xbox that Microsoft still has yet to announce other than it appearing on their employees resumes. Xbox World Magazine is claiming that sources are saying that the next console from Microsoft will feature a HD touchscreen controller with buttons and analog sticks and that the controller will supposedly function like a TV remote when you are watching television, be a browser for the internet, and will allow you to take the game with you to play when you are traveling or you know...taking care of business in the john. Again I must stress that this another rumor and without Microsoft confirming or den…
