It should come as no surprise that the 2 million dollar seller on the Wii, Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition is doing so well. After all, Mario is not only a fan favorite of every age, but he is also one of Nintendo's flag ship characters. Sad news has surfaced out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 16 year old Kendall Anderson attempted to kill his mother two times and when both attempts failed, he beat her to death with a chair leg after Kendall's mother Rashida Anderson took away his Playstation. On Thanksgiving, Kendall and Rashida had gotten into a lengthy argument when Rashida decided to take his Playstation away as punishment. The next day Kendall spent three hours debating if he should kill his mother or not and ultimately decided to do so while she was sleeping. It appears that Twisted Pixel Games who brought 'Splosion Man, Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley, and The Maw to an Xbox Live Arcade near you might be adding a Kinect Xbox Live Arcade to that list. If what appeared on Xbox.com earlier (it has since been removed) is true then The Gunstringer, the newest game on Twisted Pixel's lineup is headed for the Arcade. The Gunstringer which is a western style Kinect friendly game will have gamers controlling a puppet as he seeks revenge on the western frontier. Reverie, one of the upcoming DLC packs from Konami for Castlevania Lords of Shadows has been pushed back one month. Reverie was suppose to release this month, but Konami announced on Castlevania's Facebook page that the content has been delayed until some time in March. Rocky Donadio, an ex-soldier from Fort Sill has been found guilty in the brutal beating of his 8 year old girlfriend's son. The beating took place in April 2009, after the 8 year old deleted Donadio's GTA IV game save. The beating was so severe that the child's intestines burst and he had to spend 5 months in the hospital recovering. According to KSWO, when the child was able to speak to police about the incident he told them that Donadio "had stomped on his stomach because he had erased an X-Box game." When the incident occurred, the boy's mother and Donadio told police that he fell out of his bed. When police discovered the severity of the boys injuries, they pressed…

The latest news in the rumor mill has Take Two Interactive registering what appears to be several different domain names for the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. According to video game blog Ripten, Take Two has registered CashForDeadDreams.com, SixFigureTemps.com, StopPayingYourMortgage.net, HammersteinFaust.com, and LifeInvader.com between January 26th and January 7th showing signs that Rockstar and Take Two will be continuing the tradition of viral advertising like they did with GTA IV that included the "Wanted" posters that were put up in different cities in New York. Ninja Gaiden, one of the toughest games to ever grace a console is back and there's a brutal trailer to prove it. Everybody's favorite little wad of juicy, cubed meat is getting an "Ultra Edition" version for the PC. The "Ultra Edition" includes a 40-page booklet and a behind the scenes look, as well as a soundtrack with audio samples, extended Team Meat's comic book, and a mini poster of Super Meat Boy that is fan made by Dave Rapoza and happens to be quite disturbing. Confirmed by Atlus is that the adult puzzle/horror game Catherine is headed to the 360 and PS3 sometime this summer, although Amazon is claiming the game will release on July 26. Late February Australia struck down another video game from being sold in their country due to the violence in the game. This time it was NetherRealm's and Warner Bros's bloody good fighting game, Mortal Kombat. The reason for the ban involved a series staple, the fatalities. Fans of Master Chief prepare to get your pants wet with sheer excitement. A remake of the game that put Halo on the path to taking over the world is officially being remade for the Xbox 360 and will be releasing on November 15, 2011 which happens to be exactly ten years since the release of the original. Saber Interactive who is responsible for Time Shift, is taking over the reigns of the remake. Halo CE will be getting a full visual overhaul supporting 1080p and 3D televisions as well as new art assets will be added. Gareth Gath who suffers from cerebral palsy made a request to Visceral Games to add customizable controls to the PC version of Dead Space 2. Gath who has to play Dead Space 2 using a mouse with his chin is upset that he cannot assign the "walk forward" command to a mouse button. After his story made it through the internet, Dead Space 2 players started a petition to get his request heard and Visceral Games has indeed heard the request and are actively working on a patch to add customizable controls to the game.
