  1. At beginning of November, Microsoft temporarily (until January 2015) dropped the price of Xbox One consoles by $50 and since then has seen a huge spike in sales. So much that the Xbox One has out sold the PS4 in the United States for the past two weeks. When Sony was asked how they felt about the success of the Xbox One consoles following the price cut, they responded by saying they are still in the "battle". "No, not at all. It's going to be a very competitive holiday season. Everyone's going to move their numbers the best way they can. We're going to be fully engaged in that battle," said SCEA President Shawn Layden speaking to Gamespot when asked about if they were f…

The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings Developed by: CD Projekt RED Published by: CD Projekt RED Platforms: PC (Coming Soon to XBOX 360 ) Players: 1 I’m currently in the process of playing The Witcher 2 with full intentions of writing a full review when I finish. However, the game is long, and I feel the need to write a few of my impressions now, instead of waiting to do it all at once. Let me start by saying the game is absolutely beautiful. I am nearing the end of Act I, and I still find myself just gazing at the landscape, characters, and creatures in awe. Everything is superbly crafted, and I cannot wait to see more. Word’s can’t do the game as much justice visuall…

A good eye caught this image that appeared briefly on the EA Store for their upcoming RPG hit series, Mass Effect 3. The image which was quickly removed is similar to the one that appeared on Xbox.com for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier that showed the same purple logo with the words, “Better With Kinect Sensor”. A Kinect enabled Ghost Recon makes sense, but Mass Effect 3? What do you think? via NeoGaf and Eurogamer Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  9. Loss, sadness, fear, darkness, beauty, strength. These words are just a few that can describe the journey that Senua goes through in her 6 to 8 hour journey to Helheim in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. A Celtic warrior returning from a Viking raid, to find her love sacrificed to the Norse Gods, she embarks on a journey to save his soul from Hela (The Norse goddess of death). From the outset we begin to learn just how broken our protagonist is both physically, but most of all mentally. As we begin the journey, you hear them...the whispers in Senua's head. At first you feel they are just coming from around you. Hidden faces within the landscape perhaps? The multiple voi…

  13. Nvidia released the specs for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PC and surprisingly the game is going to be massive, literally. If you are planning on picking up the next entry into Call of Duty series; Call of Duty: Ghosts plan on making space on your PC if you are lacking in storage space. Nvidia claims that it will take up 50 GB on your hard drive and you will also need 6 GB of RAM in order to play at minimum specifications. Eurogamer cites that a possible reason for the increased need for storage on the PC may be due to the textures in Call of Duty: Ghosts and that Nvidia has been pushing for a "flawless" 4K experience according to Nvidia's Andrew Burnes. Blue Isle Entertainment is most well known for Slender: The Arrival. Being fans of being scared by games, I'm sure you know their work. It was a good update and expansion of Mark Hadley's original game. However we aren't here to discuss that one. Maybe another time if you'd like. No, today we're here to discuss (As you can see from the title) Blue Isle's new game Valley. This one may have flown under the radar of many people, however I can say it shouldn't. I went in blindly with this one and came out the other side very impressed by what I played, how it looked, and even the super tight controls. With all that said, let's do this. Going in with no preco…

  16. Want to roll the dice and see where it lands when it comes to buying a new Xbox 360? GameStop has announced that as an online special only, gamers can purchase Xbox 360′s for a low price of $99. Before you pull that credit card out there is a catch. The Xbox 360′s that are on sale are refurbished and are the 20 GB Pro models. Keep in mind that you would have no way of knowing if the refurbished console that you may be thinking of buying during this sale suffered from the enormous three red lights or better known as the ”RROD” outage that plagued Microsoft for the first couple of years that Xbox 360 released. Each refurbished console comes with the usual console standar…

  17. It appears that developers and publishers cannot get enough of body motion gaming. The latest company to pledge their support to Microsoft’s Kinect is Sega. “On Kinect we’ve definitely bought into that with what Microsoft has been saying, they’ve done a great job on Kinect, so we’ve got Rise Of Nightmares exclusively on it, and we’re using Kinect functionality in our games going forward. So it’s ticked a lot of boxes,” ~ Mike Hayes, Sega West CEO in an interview with Games Industry Hayes further went on to say that Sega is also backing Wii U and Sony’s Vita which were both announced and shown at this year’s E3. via VG247 Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the f…

  18. Depends on what you consider exclusive, but RPG Site is reporting that Microsoft bought the exclusive rights to the JRPG, Tales of Vesperia that released on the Xbox 360 in August of 2008. The game also released on the Playstation 3, however Japan was the only country to receive it on Sony’s console. This news was made recent after a public Facebook posting made by Namco Bandai’s Community Manager, Charlotte Toci which happened to be directed towards a fan asking a question regarding a PS3 version was never seen outside of Japan. “Microsoft paid for the exclusivity the same way Sony paid for having Heavy Rain only on PS3. It’s just one way the business works, sadly.” …

    1. What’s the story behind your gamertag? It’s nothing heroic. Avahra has been my online identity since I was 12 ish. I used to do a lot of free form Roleplaying (not sexual, mind) and Avahra was my main character. She was awesome, and in her made up elven language her name meant “refusal.” I like it so I take it with me. It’s the name I use for pretty much everything online. 2. What game are you currently playing? (PC, PS3, 360….it doesn’t matter) Gah. I’m always playing WoW. I have also been playing some DIablo3. However, D3 has the tendency to piss me off and I find that I don’t enjoy it as much as I should so I quit. I’ve slowly started playing xbox again..kinda sort…

  23. Duke Nukem Forever may have taken years to come out, but it did not take the poor reviews of the game long to come in. Critics have been outspoken with their disappointment of the game and many reviewers have been giving Duke an embarassing 5 or below. Firing back at those critics are Gearbox’s outspoken CEO Randy Pitchford and Duke himself. Well at least his voice actor anyway. “I have no comments regarding bad reviews by clueless critics. They seem to want to compare Duke Nukem Forever to Call Of Duty and other FPSs and they are missing the point. My thoughts about Duke Nukem Forever: It freakin ROCKS! Lots of action, lots of fun, sexy, funny, irreverent… It’s eve…
