Gears of Wars 1 is still my favorite campaign for an FPS for the 360. GoW2 wasn't as good but was still enjoyable. Really excited to play the third one.

Epic said the campaign will be considerably longer than the first two. Should be good man, the first game was creepy as hell, that may have been a draw but things have changed since then.

Story for Gears is really pissing me off. It is seems so far removed from where we started in Gears 1.

It def went away from what i expected to be a band of scattered humans fighting.

The first game was about deploying the lightmass bomb and trying to exterminate the locust, at the end of the first game it said "and we are not dead" and then the game ended. Gears 2 picked up where it left off basically and they went from the city to the actual beast itself, the point in Gears 2 was to try to show there was a massive war going on more than they originally thought.

Now, with Gears 3 it's about being stranded with almost little to no support with one final stand to eliminate the newest race the lambent and the locust.

aTs Harbinger can give a better recap.

The newest trailer on Xbox live 'dust to dust' is really great. The graphics are amazing and when it goes dark at the end and says 'brothers to the end' I want to run and beat down the doors on my nearest gamestop to demand it NOW
