Borderlands 2?

Featured Replies

That actually looks like a typo on this persons resume. It just doesn't add up with the rest of the dates/projects on it. I don't think someone would go from working on a sequel to one of the best titles on the current consoles to working on Go Diego Go.

.. then again it is placed under "Freelance" ... hmmm

Freelance artists are almost always used in concept stages. There's so many ideas floating about, and they need to see a visual representation of those ideas.

Also - "The CV has since been updated to remove any mentions of Borderlands 2 but a cached version of the document is still floating about."

I think since they had that revised to edit out Borderlands 2, that there's a strong possibility it's being made. Not only that, but a few things Randy has tweeted about.

In fact, one of the things he tweeted about, gives me high hopes that Brick won't be in the next one. *crosses fingers* lol

There just has to be a Borderlands 2, but the question would be when.

When I buy it. LOL

I am sure the second one will be awesome when it comes out.

Gearbox Software President, Randy Pitchford, has quickly denied the recent rumors that the company is currently working on Borderlands 2.

A tweet from Superannuation (has been deleted) linked to a CV of a freelance artist who claims to have worked on "user interface concepts for Borderlands 2.'

Speaking with Eurogamer, Randy Pitchford immediately denied that he knew of the artist in question. He did not mention that the company will never make a sequel to Borderlands 2, but he did suggest that it won't be coming anytime soon.

"I can tell you that myself and everyone at Gearbox LOVES Borderlands and we have been absolutely thrilled at the reception it's gotten from our customers and the fact that it's sold over four million units now.

So you can see that we supported the game like mad with lots of great DLC and you can imagine that we're going to want to do a lot of things with Borderlands in the future.

But we've only announced what we've announced.

If we haven't announced it, it doesn't exist."

Gearbox Software is currently on the final stages of completing Duke Nukem Forever. It looks like Gearbox Software won't be announcing anything about Borderlands 2 yet until the company is finished with Duke Nukem Forever.

Can't wait for the second one. I loved the first one so much that I find myself comparing other games/shooters to it all the time just trying to find that rare gem of a game like this one was. I have a feeling that this will only happen to me again when Borderlands 2 comes out.
