March 22, 201115 yr comment_33337 Aaaaaaand, here we go. More blatantly RAPING of this awesome series. I can't believe any of this is true, but it makes me one extremely sad panda."Samuels will apparently be employing free-running ("parkour") as he bounds away from enemies in chase scenes, and will otherwise use the game's large areas for shadow-sneaking...."Really? "Shadow Sneaking"? And top that off with some Prince of Persia/Mirror's Edge game mechanics/movement? Also according to the article on Game Reactor it's going to have a loot system kind of like Borderlands., many of the aliens are going to look kind of humanoid-like aside from some of their limbs/faces, and while there will be portals again there will be "fewer of them" and "with different looks". WTF happened to the gravity bending portals? WTF happened to my awesome Native American main character? WTF happened to PREY ITSELF!?!!? They're going to ruin this game hardcore. I just know it.It's like how something amazing like this:And turned into something sh*tty like this: Report

April 1, 201115 yr comment_33873 Ok, even MORE sad news about Prey 2. Frankly, they might as well make a completely new game. Why even bother calling it "Prey 2"?Ugh. Here's the sadness. The morons over at Human Head studios have decided to completely get rid of the portals and gravity mechanics that made the original Prey so memorable. Lead Designer Chris Reinhart: "We explored a lot of the ways you could use portals and gravity in combat, and I really wanted to shift away from making it too much of a puzzle game." and also, "Portals and gravity were the functions of The Sphere [the mothership in the original game]. And The Sphere’s gone."God, this is going to be such a generic stupid shooter game. I am disappoint!! They dropped the portals and gravity mechanics COMPLETELY. What the eff else is there now? Oh yeah, I forgot.... They're putting in "shadow-sneaking"./facepalm Report
