I never really got into the GOW multiplayer that much (sorry em. lol) but I will have to at least rent this when it comes out.

It will be a pre-order for me. I can't wait to get into my first match and watch people complain that it's not like the first one.

You and me both em. I still remember people accused me of cheating when I played online in Gears 1. Very few people were able to kill me in multi-player. I remember a few of my friends saying that it was an achievement to kill me because of that lol. I definitely can't wait for Gears 3, I just hope that the next year is spent streamlining the online component. They have the foundation for everything else, just polish the multi-player and it will be golden. I enjoyed Gears 2, and I would still play it if the lag didn't turn me away from the game.

I just found out that Karen Traviss will be writing the story to Gears 3! She's a great writer, and I love what she did with Aspho Fields and Jacinto's Remnant. There are supposed to be 2 more books coming, and then the story of the game will pick up after that. If she's in charge of the story, Gears 3 might end with a mighty big bang.

I know, I was blown away when I found this out. The level of depth, and emotion in the novels is insane. She's a great writer.

I hope they use some of my suggestions i sent by email. one of them was to have Dom use that nice long knife he keeps on his shoulder in one of several character specific executions.

I'm pretty sure it's still Microsoft - I can't imagine they'd have sold it?

I played the previous 2 offline as well, only venturing online for some Horde in the second. The online was properly fubared for a few months in that game. lol
