Why Do Companies Insist On Putting A Lowercase "i" In Front Of Everything!?!?!?

Featured Replies

do you think it's the same kind of design team/focus group that writes in iTalics?

I mean I feel like the double rainbow guy when I think about the addition of the lowercase "i" in front of things.

"What does it mean??????'

Really. Why? What does it stand for? Why are you putting it there? To be hip? Trendy? What does it signify?

Its a smart move. I imagine if theirs a kfc

in iReland, they now have a customer for life.

i usually stands for internet or interactive...... so they're tossing an i in front and trying to sell the same old product?

What's so interactive about a f****** chicken wrap sandwich from KFC besides running to the bathroom afterwards to purge your iBowels of the grease?

/facepalm

The marketing behind it eludes me. I just don't understand. WHAT DOES IT MEAAAAANNN!?!?!?!? LoL

It means kids will look at it and adults may hate or not understand it....either way you fell right into their plan.

or give him dorky glass, a bad comb over .. ah .. what does Bill Gates look like again?

It is stupid but the word "TWIST" for a sandwich wrap is likely copyrighted somewhere .. maybe McDonalds has it or something similar. It is stupid .. but once again. Free advertising for KFC. I never would have seen this if you didn't post it.

I'm willing to bet they are going to do a promotion for song giveaways or something with Apple in the near future and are using this new product as a test to see if it will catch on. Whenever I see that "i" in front of something that is automatically where my mind goes. Just a thought.

Yeah, I know I always think of Apple too, but there are a ton of companies that have no relation to Apple that use the stupid "i" lately it seems like. Just annoying, especially when the "i" has nothing to do with the product/technology/etc. LoL

The thing is, KFC did come up with the twist first. I was making them when i worked there back in '97. Funny thing is, the person that got credit for " coming up with them was a regional supervisor who was visiting our store when we won the best of the best award the previous year. What were we having for lunch when he stopped by? Well Rosa, one of the managers, had a habit of bringing tortillas..... we wrapped pieces of hersheys in the tortillas and deep fried them. Well at the time we had a sandwhich that used a pepper ranch dressing, so we took the chicken strips i made, wrapped them in a flour torilla and spread some pepper ranch on the top. The exec saw this and wanted to try one....... couple months later we hear he got a promotion and got the training material on how to make the "new" twist..... only back then they had us using the left over meat like we did in the pot pies. Long story short, their twist was the first, and the most brought back "new" item i've ever seen.

Pretty sure it's a dig at apple.

Not sure you have the same ad over there as us, but the iTwist ad here completely rips the piss out of any iPod ad
