  4. He briefly praised all of us for the success we had achieved in our industry and congratulated us for being selected as part of this small group of “decision makers”. At this point I begin to feel slightly uncomfortable at the strangeness of this gathering. The subject quickly changed as the speaker went on to tell us that the respective companies we represented had invested in a very profitable industry which could become even more rewarding with our active involvement. He explained that the companies we work for had invested millions into the building of privately owned prisons and that our positions of influence in the music industry would actually impact the profitabi…

  6. A Minnesota hacker prosecutors described as a “depraved criminal” was handed an 18-year prison term Tuesday for unleashing a vendetta of cyberterror that turned his neighbors’ lives into a living nightmare. Barry Ardolf, 46, repeatedly hacked into his next-door neighbors’ Wi-Fi network in 2009, and used it to try and frame them for child pornography, sexual harassment, various kinds of professional misconduct and to send threatening e-mail to politicians, including Vice President Joe Biden. 10. Please don't get me wrong, Stan Lee has had some great ideas, but the amount of credit that is given to him in regards to what characters he's created makes me pretty angry. Let's take a look at this article on CNN recently about the success of the new Avengers movie. Stan Lee revels in success of 'Avengers' Some quotes: "...long before the film's astronomical success, the 3-D glasses, the action figures and the sponsorship deals, there was the the imagination of one man -- Stan Lee" " Years ago, I was writing these characters and I thought it would fun to put them together in a team. And I called it "The Avengers." Ugh..... All I have to say is people should give more c…

  14. A former female police officer, suspecting randy colleagues were abusing Minnesota’s driver’s license database to look her up, discovered that 104 officers in 18 different agencies across the state had accessed her driver’s license record 425 times, using the state database as their personal Facebook service. An audit found that officers in the Dakota County Sheriff’s office, Bloomington Police, and state troopers, were among those who illegally accessed the file of Anne Marie Rasmusson over the course of nearly four years. There were 24 police officers in Minneapolis who accessed her record 133 times, and 42 officers in St. Paul who looked her up 175 times. A female offi…

  15. Oh Kentucky. You've given us some sweet bourbon, horse racing, and even unleashed Col. Sanders into the world. You're also responsible now for this..... Ladies and gentlemen. Behold the "truckcar". Some redneck genius decided it would be awesome to slap the cab and front part of the hood of a 1962 International truck onto a mid 90's Pontiac Grand Am. The results, obviously, are horrendous. Granted, it MAY look better if it was "finished" and painted but I would stil never be caught dead driving this piece of crap. You can hit up Jalopnik for some more great photos, check out the Craigslist post, or just read the following description of this monstrosity. "for sa…

  16. Started by Avahra,

If you want to express your passion for uhh… passion through art without being so blunt, try a Love Is Art Kit. You and your lover can make your own abstract painting while you get intimate. Then when people come over and admire your art you guys can say “Like it? We made it ourselves!” and then giggle, wink at each other, and needlessly throw in “…with our naked butts.” Ok, so I THINK THIS IS I AWESOME. (caps necessary to convey how awesome I think it is) From what I understand you get this kit, (not sure how it works couldn't find that out) and then you do the hanky panky and get all artistic while you're at it, and the end result is an abstract bang painting. I think …

  22. New York State Police officials today announced the arrest of Genghis Khan on gun and drug charges. Khan, a 22-year-old Brooklyn resident, was collared yesterday afternoon after troopers stopped a 2001 Chevy for traffic offenses as it traveled on Interstate 87 in Clarkstown in Rockland County. A search of the vehicle, which smelled of pot, turned up cocaine, marijuana, and a Ruger .357 revolver. Wow.... so many people with "famous" names, and they usually get arrested. Source
