Linkage Have you ever wondered what would happen if characters from your favorite games ever crossed paths with each other? The creative minds behind Beat Down Boogie have decided to provide us an answer to that very question. Hilarity, boobs, and plenty of action occur when Ghost from Modern Warfare 2 and Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series meet up. (I thought it was funny)

http://www.fanboyscouts.com/collections/merit-badges Pretty cool. My brother, Absinth, sent this to me. It's kind of nerdy, but I'd want the Kobyashi Maru merit badge. LoL

  5. “I usually don’t think about it. I know I probably play a few games that people like my parents may find offensive, but it really doesn’t bother me. I just play them for what they are meant for… entertainment. Now while I can see many games that are debated by people as being offensive, media and other really don’t mention the fact that these things deemed “offensive” can be avoided. In Mass Effect, you can avoid the sex scene, and in Modern Warfare 2, opt out of playing the airport mission, or just do what I did and not have the heart to shoot anyone. Honestly, in these days, almost anything can be deemed “offensive,” but does that mean it really is?” -Skylark95 Of-fen-s…

  6. http://kotaku.com/5609770/rumor-borderlands-studio-reviving-duke-nukem-forever if this is true, this very well COULD be an amazing game. Gearbox did awesome with Borderlands, and if they are able to really hammer down DNF it could be AWESOME.

http://feeds.wired.com/~r/wired/index/~3/t306LSERD-w/ A federal appeals court said Friday that software makers can use shrink-wrap and click-wrap licenses to forbid the transfer or resale of their wares, an apparent gutting of the so-called first-sale doctrine. Basically, if it's a license then they can forbid you from reselling it. Could really suck for the end users.

  11. Trixie360 has announced on her Windows Live Spaces blog that she is leaving behind her title as Community Manager for Xbox Live and moving on to her new responsibility which is Xbox Live for Windows Phone 7. “This is a heartbreaking post for me.When I first came to xbox in 2002, people didn’t talk about ‘Community’ in gaming. Oh, community existed of course, but no one called it that. My first forays into building community began with an interview with a customer. The term “Gamer Spotlight” I pulled out of my *** in a meeting one day. What was the point of it? To give a customer a moment of attention, and to let the nascent community learn more about someone who was also …

When talking about the Call of Duty series we tend to only think about the developer, publisher, release date, and recent controversies involving Infinity Ward and Activision, but what about the person who gives the series it’s behind the scenes story to ensure that gamers are having an aunthentic experience for what the game is based on? In a recent interview with AOL News, the real life Persian Gulf veteran and military history teacher at West Point, retired Lt. Col Hank Keirsey talks about his video game consultant job with the Call of Duty series. 17. Exciting news for all of you Monday Night Combat fans out there! As promised, Uber Entertainment has detailed the upcoming free “Spunky Cola Special” DLC for their Xbox Live Arcade smash hit which will be made available sometime “in November“. In addition to a couple new maps, Uber is tweaking classes, re-arranging existing maps, adding more voice comments for the hilarious announcer Mickey Cantor, added clan tag support, took cues from Modern Warfare’s Prestige options by adding the all-new “All Star” feature, dangled a super tasty new pickup under our collective noses and much, much more! I have to admit, it’s a ridiculous amount of changes for an already amazing game, …

  18. This is pretty cool. Guy is putting usb powered external hard drives in classic game cartridges. Makes for some nice nostalgia. An enterprising retro gaming fan has created what could be the ultimate external hard drive: a Legend of Zelda NES cartridge. If you have the same fond memories of Link, Ganon, finding the pieces of the Triforce, and figuring out where the heck the next secret staircase is that I do, you may be interested in this. Modder 8BitMemory is selling various one-off copies of his NES External Hard Drive, which actually isn't for the NES at all. Instead, it's a genuine 1TB external USB hard disk for PCs and Macs. It just happens to be inside Ze…

  20. I wanted to get a bug thread started for the portal pages. The portal is in a working state now, and I would love to see people participating. However, I do know it has its issues. Dyyno is working very closely with us to resolve these issues as they arise. So, I will start with a list of bugs they know about and are working on. Then, if everyone would post issues as they come across them that would be great. This will help us develop an increasingly more enjoyable portal for us to use. Regarding the Hotmail ads, we were not able to reproduce this issue in the office. Our QA Manager mentioned that he has seen Hotmail ads before but once the ad is completed, the br…
