There are a couple of workout gems in the pile of mostly rubbish "select" titles like Your Shape Fitness Evolved and The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout. Following my review of Inside a Star-filled Sky, I had a chance to talk with the developer, Jason Rohrer about some aspects of the game. He answered some of the questions I had and was able to provide some insights into the game's design. The following are some excerpts of the chat that I had with him, edited into Q&A format. Q: Any survival tips? Q: The game has a very unique concept, but I had some trouble in later levels. Q: I really do like the idea of it, but it is indeed more of an "art game" than something you can just play indefinitely like Geometry Wars or something. Q: Ever consider something like a shield power up, or maybe a bullet effect that makes y…

  12. Analyst Michael Pachter says that, "I'm certain to my core," when it comes to whether or not Activision will start charging gamers to play Call of Duty online when it comes to the newly announced project that is being taken on Beachhead. According to G4TV, Pachter said that Project Beachhead will be charging for the mulitplayer and that there might also be charges for weapons or $1.00 each or a monthly subscription to access all of them. If this turns out to be true, it will interesting to see which console's sales will go up and if fans will revolt or will fall in line and pay to play. via G4TV Click here to view the article

Here are statements from other important individuals and organizations about Steve's passing: "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Ubisoft Annecy's multiplayer game director Damien Kieken confirmed the news that there will be no multiplayer beta for Assassin's Creed 3 claiming that Ubisoft would rather spend time perfecting the game, then putting out a time consuming beta. "To be honest, it’s something we want to do every year because we get community feedback that helps us tune the game. It is also a good reward for the community that has followed us from the beginning. But doing a beta takes a lot of time; we’d need to polish a version, submit it to the platform holders and support it when it’s out. And all the time put into the beta doesn’t go into the final game. Because we wanted to push so many…
