  1. EA has once again proven that being the bigger man is not in their vocabulary when it comes to dealing with their Origin's competition, Steam. On a post in the Bioware forums for the upcoming Mass Effect 3, Bioware states that the RPG will only be available on Origin "initially" and not Steam. Why do you ask? "During initial release Mass Effect 3 will be available on Origin and a number of other 3rd party digital retailers, but not on Steam at this time. Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches…

What's a developer to do when their third installment of their popular series, Resistance sells rather poorly in the United States? Go on the defensive of course. Insomniac Game's Resistance 3 was not as huge of a hit as they might have hoped here in the United States. The followup to 2008's hit Resistance 2, only managed to sell a meger 180,00 copies during it's first month release compared to Resistance 2 which sold 385,000. GamersMint who posted an article detailing their let down first month sales, compared Resistance 3's sales to Dead Island's first month sales which released on the same day. Dead Island happened to move over 2 million copies. So what did Insomni…

Just like every other game before it, Mass Effect 3 is getting pre-order content, but of course it all depends on who you pre-order with and if you pre-order it at all. Gamers who pre-order from GameStop will get N7 Warfare Gear along with the N7 Valkyrie assualt rifle. Origin pre-orders will be receiving the AT12 Raider shotgun and the M55 Argus assault rifle. This is where the pre-orders get confusing. Anybody who pre-orders at any retailer will be receiving the M55 Argus assualt rifle. So technically Origin users are only getting one pre-order item and GameStop pre-orders are getting another. All of the Mass Effect 3 pre-order goodies will be available the day tha…

With the Wii U and Xbox Next in the works, many have been left wondering, what about Sony? Sony was a little more than late to the party when the Xbox 360 launched in 2005. According to Playstation Europe Boss, Jim Ryan, that will not be happening again. "I think we would consider it undesirable to be significantly later than the competition [with the next PlayStation]." Ryan told Eurogamer in a recent interview. Couple that statement with the recent headline from Edge stating that one huge Sony owned studio has halted work permanetly on the PS3 to begin developing the PS4, it looks like the battle of the next gen consoles is about to begin....again. via Euro…
