Developed by: Team Meat Players: 1 Platforms: XBLA, (Windows, Mac, and Wiiware coming in November) Rated T (Teen) by the ESRB Team Meat You are Meat Boy. You love Bandage Girl and she loves you. Nobody likes Dr. Fetus and that pisses him off. He steals Bandage Girl and it is your job to save her. This is a simple premise that leads to one of the most perfect platform games in, not just recent, but in all of gaming history. At an introductory price of $10, this is the best game money can buy. This reviewer hasn’t played a game in recent memory that has hit every mark that I had set for it in my mind. And in most cases it well exceeded my expectations. The controls are simp…

Developer: Double Fine Productions Publisher: THQ Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360 Players: 1-Player Genre: Adventure/Puzzle Tim Schafer and the merry band of misfits at Double Fine are known for their originality in games. Stacking is not your typical puzzle/adventure game, but it is completely infused with Double Fine's unique and quirky style and humor. Fans of the developer are used to this and have fallen in love with it, but the real question is, can it bring in a whole new breed of fan? The overall story of the game is very engaging. A Matryoshka doll family, the Blackmores, are forced to sell off all of their belongings because of the disapperance of their father. A Mas…

It appears that gamers are getting screwed over again when it comes to being forced to buy DLC if they want to add hours to gameplay. Jun Takeuchi, the producer for Lost Planet 2 has stated that there was "no trouble", but the content was too much for them to deal with. “There wasn’t especially any big trouble. More than those kind of difficulties, the edited content was way too much and dealing with that was more difficult than anything.... This time, truly, the content that was cut was significant." He added that the cut content will probably end up as DLC, but are we really surprised? VG247 Click here to view the article

As we all know, Ezio Auditore da Firenze is the biggest badass to come out of Italy in the past six hundred years. But how would you like to play as him against some of the whackier characters to come out of a Japanese fighting game? It is rumored that Ezio will be a playable character in Soulcalibur V. It's doubtful that you will be able to jump down from a rooftop and instantly assassinate your opponent, however Ezio is a master of many weapons and would make a great addition to the weapon based fighting in Soulcalibur. Soulcalibur is no stranger to cameo appearances, so this awesome rumor could very well be true. Source: Official XBOX Magazine Click here to view the ar…

Microsoft has managed to secure another "first" in the battle of the console peeing contest. Just announced at E3, Xbox 360 users will receive the downloadable content before the other guys for the out next year reboot, Tomb Raider. Seems kind of silly announcing DLC before the game releases, but I guess that "my stream last longers than yours" is the real battle here. Click here to view the article

Surely most have heard of this by now, but Steve Jobs, the genius who gave us all the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, which exploded into the App and digital music age we are all enjoying today and will enjoy for generations to come, died today as a result of a rare pancreatic cancer. Let us all remember a man who fundamentally and forever changed the way we listen to music, interact with computers, and explore the possibilities of technology. Here are statements from other important individuals and organizations about Steve's passing: "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Sony and HBO are announcing a partnership to put HBO TV Shows on the PSN Video Store. This will join the Starz and Showtime programming that is already on the store currently. As you may know, HBO has their own download service and to curb any issues the PSN store may cause to that business model, shows will only become available when the DVDs are released. DVD releases are typically a year after the original airing of the shows. Shows will run about $2.99 per episode and will kick off with HBO staples like Curb Your Enthusiasm, True Blood, and Entourage. Perhaps one of the most interesting rumors surrounding the still rumored and not confirmed next Xbox is a recent rumor that the next console will not allow the useage of used games. This nasty little rumor began on Kotaku when they cited their sources that claimed that whenever the Xbox 720 is released, the console will automatically say a big fat no when the user puts a used game into the tray. Before the subscribers of Gamefly and lovers of used games at Gamestop get their panties into a bunch, the Xbox 720 itself hasn't even been confirmed or mentioned by Microsoft, let alone this little rumor. So take a big deep breath and go back to playing. via IGN Click here to v…

Ding ding! Today's Fail of the Day is being brought to you by a war of words between two video game titans, Sony and Microsoft. Last week, Sony's Sony's Senior VP of Publisher Relations Rob Dyer went on the defensive by taking a shot at Microsoft's right to deny downloadable arcade games that appear on the Playstation Network first after Microsoft admitted that they are "biased". "We're a little biased, so obviously we're going to look to protect our own space..." ~European Xbox Boss, Chris Lewis in an interview to Eurogamer. " Whilst I can't be specific about the terms and conditions, you can be very confident we seek to maximise our own advantage to ensure the playing…

Ubisoft brought to the gaming community a brand new vision, "From Dust" that released on July 27 for the Xbox Live Arcade and it also released on August 17 for the PC. PC gamers who have been waiting for the game to release since it was announced at E3 in 2010 are now utterly outraged over what appears to be downright lying on behalf of Ubisoft. Unfortunately that statement is far the from the truth. PC gamers everywhere are reporting that instead of being able to play From Dust offline without the need of an internet connection, they are receiving error messages that tell them that they do in fact need a constant internet connection. To make matters worse there are pl…

The BitBag is reporting that Hideo Kojima may have possibly been hinting about another entry into the Silent Hill series. BitBag spied the two questionable tweets, “Silent Hill” movie that I borrowed from Murashu as the next sequel is coming out. It would be a scary game if we make Silent Hill game on FOX engine.?(?_?” and “Silent Hill” is in closed room setting and doesn’t require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn’t have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engin…

GameStop tweeted a huge deal if you need to purchase a Nintendo 3DS this holiday season for that someone special on your list. With the purchase of a 3DS or 3DS XL, you will receive 2 free games! Before you go putting on your Santa hat and grabbing your keys and credit card, there is a catch. Those two free games are Steel Diver and your choice of a Nintendogs game. No word on when this deals end, so if you have a younger gamer on your list who is asking for some 3DS hardware, you might want to take advantage of this deal before it’s gone. Konami announced HD remakes of both Zone of the Enders, as well as a pack of Silent Hill games coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime next year. They also announced a pack of HD remakes (a la the God of War pack) of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the recent PSP title Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Both packs will have upgraded graphics, new interfaces, and new 2D art. Also, Kojima announced the new "Transfarring" technology that will allow easier game save transfers between PS3 and PSP versions of games. We'll have to wait for more details on this one, but hopefully it will make things less cumbersome. And on a final note from K…
