For those of you who will be missing those fun and fast paced Wager Matches of Call of Duty: Black Ops you can relax, well sort of. Treyarch has confirmed that “fun game modes” will be available in Black Ops 2. Speaking to NowGamer, Treyarch Game Design Director David Vonderhaar said that “In Black Ops they were called Wager Matches, and there was the ‘gambling’ component. But those somewhat oddball, out-of-context, just kind of fun game modes are actually going to make a fairly significant return in Black Ops 2, as what we call Party Games”. Let’s just hope that they aren’t taking the term “oddball” to seriously. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full arti…

Duke Nukem Forever may have taken years to come out, but it did not take the poor reviews of the game long to come in. Critics have been outspoken with their disappointment of the game and many reviewers have been giving Duke an embarassing 5 or below. Firing back at those critics are Gearbox's outspoken CEO Randy Pitchford and Duke himself. Well at least his voice actor anyway. "I have no comments regarding bad reviews by clueless critics. They seem to want to compare Duke Nukem Forever to Call Of Duty and other FPSs and they are missing the point. My thoughts about Duke Nukem Forever: It freakin ROCKS! Lots of action, lots of fun, sexy, funny, irreverent... It's eve…

I am not convinced that things will happen this year. The Xbox 360′s cycle is not over at all. The proof is that we haven’t price cut this year. Afterward, what will happen at E3, it’s …

In a move that really surprises no one, Netflix and Nintendo have finally announced that Netflix streaming will be available on the Wii this spring. As with the PS3, a disc will be needed to access the streaming on the Wii, as well as a $9 per month subscription to the Netflix service. No additional fees from Nintendo or Neflix will be required. As I'm sure you are aware, the Wii does not have high-def capabilities, so no HD streaming will be available. Hopefully with Netflix on all 3 major consoles everyone can access some of the great stuff that Netflix has been working hard to add to their streaming lineup. Stay tuned to Gamercide for information on how to get your…

Kameo: Elements of Power, a colorful launch title for the Xbox 360 in 2005 almost had a followup with Kameo 2, but Rare cancelled the game in 2009 before it got off the ground. Artwork has surfaced from the planned sequel that shows Kameo would have gotten a more "womanly" appearance had the game had lived to see a release. via Eurogamer Click here to view the article

Creators of the upcoming Kinect only spin on the Fable series, Fable: The Journey, are saying that fans are being unfair and that they really need to just give it a chance. Former Microsoft employee and Fable Designer Peter Molyneux said in a recent press conference that he wants gamers to know that they will not be “leaping” through the air. “From the blogs and the posts that I’ve seen, there’s a lot of skepticism out there. People think that they’re going to be leaping around the room or they’re going to have to shout at the top of their voice and feel embarrassed. We don’t want that – we want you to feel relaxed.” Molyneux isn’t the only one that was on the Fable te…

Developed by: Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Annecy (multiplayer) Published by: Ubisoft Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3 Players: 1 offline, with 4-8 player multiplayer Rated M (Mature) by the ESRB Assassin's Creed II was a great game and improved upon the already revolutionary first Assassin's Creed in almost every conceivable way. With Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft aims to improve even further upon an already great series, even adding a completely new multiplayer mode. But is it worth the full price, or is it little more than an expansion? You don't need to read to the end of this review to know my personal impression of this game. The answer is yes, the game is absolutely …

Sega's "top secret project" codenamed 'Project Needle Mouse' has finally been officially revealed. Guarded in secrecy and discussed in speculation amongst the various circles, fans wondered if it would be a completely new franchise or a return to glory for a long neglected one. Now, after teaser images and trailers, Sega is ready to reveal the true identity of Project Needle Mouse. Speculate no longer, gamers. Spoilers After Jump (for those of you who haven't figured it out from the graphic at right). What IS a bit of a surprise is that Sonic 4 will be episodic. On September 11th, Sony launched a lawsuit against Bridgestone and Wildcat Creek Inc. Actor Jerry Lambert who plays Sony's fake executive Kevin Butler in television commercials is the president of the one of the companies featured in the lawsuit; Wildcat Creek Inc. Sony is claiming that Bridgestone and Wildcat Creek Inc. are both in breach of contract over the Kevin Butler character who Sony believes is being used in another form of advertisement for Bridgestone tires. Keep in mind that the tire brand is not using Lambert's actual Kevin Butler character, but rather just the actor in a series of promotional ads for Bridgestone. http://youtu.be/C_X3mVnuB10 Speaking to Ga…

Last week the brillant minds at Ninja Bee which happen to be behind one of the Xbox Live Arcade's most addicting games A World of Keflings, announced that new alien-friendly downloadable content would be arriving soon. Details were a tad bit fuzzy at the time regarding a release date and price, however my fellow kefling addicts can calm down now because Ninja Bee has released the details. On October 25th , the It Came From Outer Space DLC will release on the Xbox Live Marketplace for a tiny lumpsum of 320 points. Not too shabby considering that the content will add anywhere between two to four hours of gameplay and increase the game's total content to 30%. It Came From…

There are a few things that I have learned about Activision from a recent pompous and arrogance filled interview between MCV and Activision's Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg. These "things" are not directly about their video games, brand, or even where they see themselves in the next five years. I have learned that Activision has an over inflatuated opinion of themselves and coming from a company who reported a $233 million loss in the fourth quarter of 2010 is never a good thing. I find that statement reeking of wrongs considering that according to Game Developer Magazine for the year of 2010, Nintendo sits at number one for the top overall publisher position, EA is nu…
