Gamers who purchased the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from GameStop found out the hard way that they did not receive the promised OnLive code that was suppose to be included with each new copy of the PC game. It's being reported that once customers got home, cracked open their "new" game, the code was not there, and GameSpy has uncovered an email that circulated to GameStop employees telling them to open each new copy of the PC version of Dues Ex and remove the OnLive code without telling potential buyers. Why do you ask? The following statement from GameStop public relations representative, Beth Sharum sums it up pretty well. For those of you that do not k…

Do not call the upcoming Playstation 3 and Vita Final Fantasy X a "remake", because Square's Shinji Hashimoto will be the first to remind you that it is a "remaster". During the Taipei Game Show the media asked Hashimoto if the popular love story of Tidus and Yuna was going to be a remake or remaster and Hashimoto quickly responded with "remaster" citing the HD overhaul and according to Joystiq, Hashimoto is claiming the HD "remaster" is prettier than the original that released in 2001 with cutscene graphics that would rival many games to this day. No release date has been given yet for the FFX remaster however as Andriasang points out, there was a mysterious Twitter mess…

On October 5, 2011 Sony will be making a new announcement to gamers everywhere. This announcement comes following a short teaser trailer that appeared on the interwebs late lastnight. The trailer follows two soldiers who appear to have parachuted down into some dark lonely woods. When they emerge into the open, an old stone house is sitting in front of them. Upon entering they are greeted by a sultry female and a dog to their right lying on the floor. They place some coins into the tray that shows other items and proceed to slow mo walk through the door in front of them after the female gives them a slight nod showing permission to enter. What kind of announcement…

Nothing beats a kick in the scrotum to start your day. Ex Darksiders 2 Senior UI Designer, Xander Davis has said in an interview with Not Enough Shaders that Nintendo’s upcoming console the Wii U is “$400 Xbox 360 seven years late.” “I’ve not worked on any Wii U version of anything (luckily). But, y’know, I very early on raised my major concern about this. Anybody buying any Wii U game that’s a port is probably buying it almost exclusively and specifically for how it can play differently through the Wii U’s alleged innovated UI. I’m already a known skeptic on whether the interface paradigm is at all anything but idiotic. But if you’re gonna do it? Fine. Then, you H…

Thank you captain obvious! I am talking about the heads over at EA who have confirmed that there will be a Battlefield 4. EA’s Frank Gibeau made the stunning and shocking announcement during an appearance at the University of California. “There is going to be a Battlefield 4.” Phew. Now that has been announced I can go back to playing Call of Duty Black Ops which you just can’t manage to pass. Ouch stings, doesn’t it? via Eurogamer Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

The gorgeous and crisp upcoming FPS from EA and DICE, Battlefield 3 might be getting a beta very soon despite the fact that it’s launch is about a month away. The eyes over at MP1st have picked up on three hints from DICE concerning a beta announcement at the beginning of this week. The first hint was found at the italian Battlefield website where DICE teased that fans should “follow” them, that there is a “long awaited” announcement coming tomorrow. That was then followed up by a tweet from Daniel Matros of DICE that stated, “this week is going to be off the hook BF3,” and later on David Goldfarb agreed stating “gonna be a great week. BF3.” While a beta announcement w…

Activision had to pull the multiplayer map Favela out of the map rotation after the finding of a painted portrait that appears in a bathroom in the map offended some in the Muslim community. The offending portrait features a painted tree and the words “Allah is beautiful” and “He loves beauty” inscribed around the frame of the portrait which happens to be situated above a toilet. Activision released a statement apologizing for the image and said that they are working on an update to remove the wording from the map. We apologise to anyone who found this image offensive. Please be assured we were unaware of this issue and that there was no intent to offend. We are workin…

One of the main competitors in the fighting game market, Dead or Alive, will be adding another sequel to its roster, Dead or Alive 5. To make the game's presence known, a short demo featuring a fight between Ryu Hayabusa and an original DoA ninja character, Hayate. http://youtu.be/2ebYsCOp2G0 The gameplay demo seems to emphasize the use of counter-attacks to break the enemy's concentration, and to utilize the surrounding environments, as was demonstrated by the exploding barrels and Ryu dangling off the edge of the skyscraper. via Game Informer and Gamingeverything Written By: Cru Hunter Click here to view the article

The Anime/Drama video app was made available on last Tuesdays update, but if you didn’t notice it’s understandable. At the time you had to navigate to the PS3 store and wait for the little logo to pop up in one of the rolling ads that slowly switch out on the store’s front page. After downloading the app, Crunchyroll appears in the same video section with the likes of Netflix and Hulu. It’s similar to those as well with a few exceptions. First it has more quantity and quality than both in the Anime and Drama genres, as well as having current running shows updated up to an hour after they air in Japan. From standout Dramas like My Lovely Sam-Soon, Prince’s First Love, One …

How does 26 Verizon Fios channels on the Xbox 360 sound for starting at $89.99 a month? What if I add that they are throwing in a free one year Gold subscription of Xbox Live and a free copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary? Didn’t think so. Microsoft announced those details in a brief explanation of how the Verizon services will tie into their upcoming Xbox Live TV service. Unfortunately the details are disappointing. Besides the 26 channels and the high prices, this offer is only available to customers who use Verizon Fios internet and TV services and the 26 channels will be based on the “customer’s TV package”. The unnamed channels will be Kinect enabled meanin…

Why in the world would a director of a highly anticipated game say, "20 per cent of the players will see the last level of the game. It’s horrible to know. It makes the people working on it really really sad,". I have no clue, but Hitman: Absolution's director Tore Blystad made this rather idiotic remark in a recent interview with the Official Playstation Magazine. To Blystad's credit he did say that game was made for people who want to go back and replay it. If you are going off of a 20% finish rating, how in all of the Agent 47 fiber wire gaming goodness is there going to be any replay value? Click here to view the article
