While the upcoming September release for Gears of War 3 will be ending the current story involving the tough talking, overly muscular Marcus Phoenix, Cliff Bleszinski hinted to Ripten that more Gears will be coming in the future. “….Gears 1 and 2 sold about 6 million copies, so if this game comes out and, God willing, sells 8 or 10 million it would be completely dumb to not do another one, right? It’s just business 101. So, I mean, the key is figuring out what’s appropriate. What makes sense for this connected world that we’re moving into? So, that remains to be seen. That’s the million dollar question…” – Cliff Bleszinski, Design Director for Game Development at Ep…

Ms. Splosion Man graces us with her presence in this latest release. Does it live up to the standards set by Marvel and the other Zen Studios tables? Splode on through and let’s see. Big Science labs is the setting for this latest entry and much like the 2 games in the series, none of the experiments are going quite as planned. With Splosion Man captured, she will have to utilize all the gadgets in the lab to save him from the Mighty Eternal. Much like the full non-pinball game, the main goal of the table is to ‘splode’ as much…

Cutting fruit. Sounds simple right? Well, when put in game form it becomes an astonishingly addictive concept. You are a ninja whose sole purpose is to cut fruit. Previously it was limited to the mobile market. Deft finger flicks would allow you to slice through fruit and avoid bombs. Can Halfbrick bring this same game play to Kinect? If you’ve played the mobile version, you know the deal here. Fruit is thrown up on the screen and you have to use your hands to slice it. Slicing multiple fruit at once gives you multipliers and you gain more points. Occasionally, game ending or point sapping bombs will be thrown across. Don’t slice those. “Slicing” may be a bit g…

The previous 2011 release date for the upcoming Kinect enabled Project Draco apparently was just a tease. The Xbox Live Arcade game which is “inspired” by 1995′s widely successful dragon rail shooter, Panzer Dragoon now has a new release date that has been listed by Joystiq as sometime in 2012. Project Draco is being developed by the Ground Inc. and will follow a human trying to train a dragon to aid them in combat. Not sure how many of you will pop some excitement in your pants for this news, but Square Enix has announced that two somewhat dismal characters from Final Fantasy XIII will be making a return in the upcoming second part of the story, Final Fantasy XIII-2. Snow and Hope were shown briefly in a trailer at the Tokyo Game Show marking their return to your flat screen. Hope appears to have matured physically and Snow is barely recognizable when he reappears towards the end with Lightning’s younger sister, Serah. Not sure about you, but I would take Fang and Vanille over those two clowns anyday.via G4TV and Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

Gamers have succeded where scientists have failed. It’s been over a decade since scientists have set out to break down a protein called protease that allows AIDS to multiply. Three weeks ago scientists reached out to the University of Washington’s program “Foldit” which takes science figures and turns them into competitive games. “People have spatial reasoning skills, something computers are not yet good at. Games provide a framework for bringing together the strengths of computers and humans. The results in this week’s paper show that gaming, science, and computation can be combined to make advances that were not possible before.” Seth Cooper, Co-Creator of “Foldi…
