But does it live up to the charm and originality of the first game? Short answer: YES. Portal 2 is every bit as good as the first, and better in almost every way. From beginning to end, it had a much more cinematic feel to it, with more characters involved and much, MUCH larger set pieces than th…

  3. Diablo 3 or “D3″ as many fans are dubbing it is getting ready to launch tomorrow May 15th to an antsy PC crowd. Meanwhile gamers on the console end have been waiting on word on whether on not Diablo 3 will see the light of day after Diablo makers Blizzard had posted job openings that appeared to make it seem like they wanted to test the waters with Diablo heading over the PS3 and or Xbox 360. Well anxious console gamers I hate to burst your bubble, but that was not entirely true and Blizzard has the perfect explanation. In an interview with Gamasutra, Blizzard’s Jay Wilson said that they were kind of lying in order to gain more employees, but they still remain unsure a…

  4. Fans of Final Fantasy might have said, “oh no” when Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced last year, but that didn’t stop Square Enix from continuing on with the followup to 2010′s Final Fantasy XIII that found gamers following the story of Lightning as her life intertwined with other characters through the game. Recently at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Square announced a release date for Final Fantasy XIII-2 as January 31, 2012 here in the states, but also a Japan only Playstation 3 bundle that features Lightning herself on the console. Fusible did a tiny bit of detective work regarding Activision’s record breaking Call of Duty: Black Ops and discovered that not only was blackops2.com switched over recently to MarkMonitor which happens to be the privacy service that Activision is a client to, but also that in August Activision bought the domains blackops3.com, blackops4.com, blackops5.com, and blackops6.com making it appear that not only is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is on the horizon but that there will be a total of 6 in the Black Ops series. This should not come as a surprise to anybody with the never ending supply of games that share the name Call of Duty, but Black Ops 6? Really Activision? via Fusib…

  11. It’s only Tuesday and the rumor mill is already going strong with rumors coming from Nintendo and Microsoft’s camps. E3 2012 came to a close a couple weeks ago and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo each had their underwhelming and rather dull showcases for the upcoming year, but is there a reason why? More so on Nintendo’s side? According to european website Non Specific Action, an insider claims that Nintendo held back during this year’s E3 and that they had two huge Wii U games to announce, but decided at the last minute to hold off on those announcements, because they didn’t want to take the buzz surrounding their upcoming console to jump ship to these new games. Both o…

April 15, 2010. Mark it on your calenders, Original XBox fans. And get your gaming in while you still can, because on that date, XBox Live will be discontinued for all Original XBox games, including games available for download on XBLA. Insiders indicate that the closure of XBox Live for Original XBox games will help to serve the improvement of XBox Live for XBox 360, although the details of which have not been made explicit at this time. And sure, most XBox Live users may not mourn long or at all, and maybe even consider it about time, but for those who still rock the online multiplayer of Halo 2, Counter-Strike, or Forza, the loss will be felt like an old friend you …

  23. You silly Playstation 3 gamers. Just because you buy a Call of Duty Elite subscription does not mean that you get the DLC first, those only who have the Xbox 360 get if first. Confused? Activision’s Dan Amrich took to his blog to explain why this is going on after PS3 gamers started complaining that they are receiving the DLC last. “Back in 2010, Activision and Microsoft entered a business deal to release DLC on Xbox 360 earlier than other platforms; this contract is valid through the year 2012. This business deal was very widely reported by the games media when the announcement was made at E3 in 2010, and the DLC releases for both Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Bla…
