The gorgeous and crisp upcoming FPS from EA and DICE, Battlefield 3 might be getting a beta very soon despite the fact that it's launch is about a month away. The eyes over at MP1st have picked up on three hints from DICE concerning a beta announcement at the beginning of this week. The first hint was found at the italian Battlefield website where DICE teased that fans should "follow" them, that there is a "long awaited" announcement coming tomorrow. That was then followed up by a tweet from Daniel Matros of DICE that stated, "this week is going to be off the hook BF3," and later on David Goldfarb agreed stating "gonna be a great week. EA has announced that Battlefield 3 will have a day one update that gamers will be required to install in order to play the game and that all media reviews of the shooter be held off until a week after it’s release. EA has also added that Xbox 360 gamers will have to download the game to their hard drive in order to see the graphics at their best representation. What is EA’s reasoning behind the day one update? EA has announced that on March 2nd when Battlefield Bad Company 2 releases in North America, that there will be 2 multiplayer maps that will be availble for download for free. However, this offer is only extended to those of you that buy the game new. The multiplayer maps will be available to download in the in game store that will be available to all gamers, but free to gamers who buy the game new via a "VIP Code". How long do you think it will take you to reach the highest rank in Battlefield Bad Company 2, General of the Army (level 50)? Thanks to a post on the Achieve360Points forum you can find out. 2K has released details regarding the upcoming DLC "Sinclair Solutions Test Pack" for BioShock 2. The "Sinclair Solutions Test Pack" which is set to release in March will add new additions to BioShock's 2 multiplayer. Among the new additions include an increase in level rank to level 50 with rank rewards, two new playable characters, 20 new trials, a third weapon upgrade for every weapon, and five new masks.
