While the Xbox 360 dashboard allows users to install any game disc they choose, Rockstar advises against installing the play disc.

"For optimal performance, we recommend not installing the play disc," it said via Twitter.

No specific reason is given, but we suspect it is related to the way the game likely streams data from both the hard drive and Play disc simultaneously to achieve the fastest possible load speeds.

That bottom part makes sense. Noted.

Fix is to install the play disk (disk 2) to a flash drive.  Someone posted it at Digital foundry.

i alway thought installing a disk made eveything run smoother........ good looking out PeeKnuckle.     Seen something earlier about being able to custom cars and train your dog (chop) from your smart phone will see if i can find that artical again.
