August 28, 201214 yr comment_62983 We’re pleased to announce Hearthfire™, the next official game add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim®. As demonstrated in this just-released video, Hearthfire allows you to purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, and more. Choose your land, customize your house, guard it from unwanted visitors, and turn your house into a home by adopting children.Hearthfire will be available for download for 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE® on September 4. August 28, 201214 yr comment_62984 Adopt children? Don't let Dat get this DLC lolSounds neat, but seems like it took them way too long to start releasing DLCs like this. At least the PC release better not be so far behind the consoles this time.I still want a new Mage's Tower like the one in Oblivion. That place was awesome. Report
August 28, 201214 yr Author comment_62985 Think of them as expansions and it won't seem that long. Tribunal, Shivering Isles, etc. Also, I edited in the video. So, scroll up to watch. Report
August 28, 201214 yr comment_62986 Just watched it, not bad. I'd adopt the "There's nobody I won't fight!" orphan girl from Whiterun for the house I get and train her to be a guard dog for it. lol Report
August 28, 201214 yr comment_62987 I don't really mind this type of content for DLC, it seems interesting enough. Building houses looks pretty cool. I'll definitely buy it, I just hope it doesn't take very long for the PC to get it this time. Report
August 28, 201214 yr Author comment_62988 I think adding in Skeever and Giant events this late into the game's life could be a bad decision. I think most who own the game, are high level and could just breathe on either and kill them. lolWould be cool if the enemies scaled. Report
August 28, 201214 yr comment_62993 There's a mod almost exactly like this for the PC. You can't adopt children to help defend the house but it's still pretty cool. This looks good though. They really need to add mod support for Xbox 360 though. Report

September 4, 201214 yr comment_63256 I've been playing this for a few hours. Got a house, moved my wife in and hired some help. I still haven't been able to adopt children though. I'm prety sure you need the Bedroom addon first. I demand that Hroar be my son! Report
