This man sells crack, but has a mattress being held up by milk cartons? Riiiggghhtttttt!

The issue here isn't if the dude did something or not, but regardless he should NOT have been treated like that.

If he had done anything illegal he would have been escorted by the police to the hospital and then charged once he was released. They didn't charge him with anything for a full week. Likely while they got their stories straight and lined up an eyewitness to identify him.

It's corrupt.

The issue is the out of control drug enforcement perks. Like all things in this jacked up world, it would never have happened if not for the money involved. These cops aren't protecting and serving anymore. They are just trying to get money for their department. Like all things illegal, its the fact that they are illegal that makes the criminal element. Laws that create bad guys.

Yeah, they don't see the people anymore that they're supposed to be protecting. They see money and what they can seize.

The bail thing was BS, too. He had an entire week to run away. If he was a flight risk, he would have already been gone. Then to make his bail so high after he demonstrated he wasn't a risk... complete BS.
