The more I read about this patent, the more angrier I become.

In their patent, that the US government holds claim to, it cites these afflictions and diseases to use cannabanooids to treat: Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and human immunodeficiency virus dementia, Down's syndrome, or heart disease.

That's full on admitting it has medicinal value! Plus, they're patenting parts of a gd plant that's illegal, but also shows up in breast milk. This isn't the first time they've made something illegal, that occurs or is manufactured in our own bodies. Dimethyltryptamine or DMT, also occurs naturally in our bodies. If you're a pregnant woman, you're carrying around two different illegal drugs inside of your body.

It boggles the mind. It really does.

Read through most of that patent. Pretty crazy stuff and that particular patent is for a form without the psychotropic side effects.

Federally, Cannabis is illegal. Psychotropic or not, they're not only patenting a plant that nature makes, they're doing it to something they made illegal. A plant. Patented and illegal at the same times.

They can synthezise or use other plants that have cannibanoids, but they'll never be as effective as cannabis itself. If big Pharma could have made it work, it would have been mass prroduced ages ago.

I would really love to see federal legalization, but I'd settle for medical use in the state of Ohio...
