Has anybody had problems with the last system update and their console? Mine (the Halo Reach console) handled it fine, however Jason's (which is an older Elite with the Jasper chip when it first came out) has been having nothing but problems. It hardly plays games like LA Noire, Madden 11, Fallout New Vegas, Operation Flashpoint Red River (or whatever it is called) etc.... Now I can play these games just fine on my console. Also he got a disc unreadable message. The main problems are freezing and not reading the discs. Could it just be because it's an older model Elite or could it be the update? We have gotten in contact with support, but have yet to hear anything back.

They said a small percentage of consoles that receive the latest update will have issues reading discs, and if so, you may be eligible for a free Xbox 360.

In any event, just call the 1-800 number and explain about the disc read error after system update.

well la noire is the only one i can't get to work. this **** is rediculous i'm about to scrap the 360 and just get a ps3 honestly.

have not had any problems with mine and it is the 60gb model.

i have yet to have any probs and i have an old arcade sys.....but thanks for the warning
