Saw both used for pretty cheap at gamestop and decided to pick them up, playing through 1 now and made it to the 4th chapter before taking a break, really like it. Anyone else play them?

Played the first level of the second one and did not like it at all. Heard the first was much better.

I just recently played through both of them. I feel exactly the opposite from PK lol. I thought the first one was pretty stale, but the second one was pretty sweet. It had much improved gameplay and level design, with less repetition than the original. Pretty much the same way I feel about F.E.A.R. (by the same developer, Monolith). The first was long as hell and repetitive, the second is probably almost too short but it's really good. I've almost beat it.

Aside from the repetition, the main problem I had with the first game was the bad hit detection, how an enemy could spin around after you hit them, without even swinging their weapon, and if the weapon happened to brush against you it'd count as a full force hit. It was much better in the second game.

Honestly with my gaming habits these days (still a huge backlog) I prefer shorter games so long as they're good, to longer ones that might get repetitive. I don't feel ripped off because I rarely ever buy games for more than $20 these days lol.

Either way, Condemned 1 and 2 were pretty good. A steal for the low price they're at now, I got them in my mega bundle from the GameStop sale last year (which I finally completed! lol).

Condemned 1 is waaaaaayyyyy better than 2! LOL. I did the same as PK. Played 2 levels or so and hated it. Fear 1 was the first time I met Alma so I'm biased as to why I think 1 is better than 2. The ending to Fear 2 was the absolute worst! I didn't bother finishing it. That's rare for me.

Well, finished the first, really liked it except for a couple fights towards the end.(and searching that house for 4 clues got annoying).

FIrst one was cool, the second one is kind of gay. I couldn't finish it.

I LOVED the first. I couldn't stand the second, so I didn't even bother trying to play it. I still love the department store level to this day. I still get chills when I play it.

Like most people will tell you: First was great and actually scary. The second was a lame Fight Club clone kind of thing, tried to be scary but every time someone was lurking in the corner, your health bar would pop up so you know you'd be attacked soon. Stupid.

I played about the first 15 minutes of 2 last night before going to bed, and I think from now on I'm just gonna call it Hobo Fight Club, lol

Didn't really care for either game honestly, but the first one was way better than the second. Wife dug the first one and made me play through the second with the, "Maybe it will get better..." line.

Finished the 2nd one, and I liked it to, but it does get further away from how the first game was about towards the middle and just keeps going. I would say I like the atmosphere and story in 1 better, but gameplay and kinda insanity of 2 better. Hope they make a third one.
