I struggled with some sections playing Normal Mode. No way in heck I'm even going to attempt Hardcore.

you know, i was all for it until you said only 3 saves peroid. unless its a super short game i know i wont be able to do that

On normal, it took me a little over 9 hours. There are some sections though that are crazy hard, I mean REALLY tough where you just need to run away and avoid and you will STILL take damage. having to navigate those sections on Zealot difficulty, where like one or two hits will destroy you, is going to be ridiculous on hardcore mode.

so im gonna double it to make up for the difficulty and say 18 hours to beat it on the hardest one. so just about one save every 6 hours O.o

Yeah, everything I've read says try not to save until you reach at least Chapter 6, make a save there, save on Ch. 10 and then again before the end.

FUUU THAT!!!!! I'm supposed to make it through FIVE CHAPTERS on the HARDEST DIFFICULTY without dying once!?

Not me. I'm going to do a Zealot run through, with all my stuff on NewGame+ to make it more tolerable. There is no way I'm doing Hardcore though. Just too frustrating IMO.

Aaaaaaand I just discovered what the "rewards" are for beating it on Hardcore.

First up, you get the Soldier Suit.

Secondly, you get a weapons called the "Hand Cannon". It's a giant red foam hand thing (one of those sports like ones with the finger sticking up). When you shoot is primary Issac says "Bang Bang!" and when you shoot Alt fire he tells "Pew pew!"

WTF. LoL Still not worth it.

Like the pimp hand on Saints Row 2.

Rubber Controller.....would be handy for just this reason....

lol, that is pretty awesome reward. Not sure that it's worth the hell of completely that difficulty though.
