January 14, 201115 yr comment_27744 Anyone else hate how Bioware/EA are doing pre-orders bonus stuff these days? Feels like you are missing out on something no matter what version you end up getting. Then they nickel and dime you later with the stuff you couldn't get as DLC. Same story with Mass Effect 2. I love that game but man it was hurting my wallet lol.Check out this article on the subject. January 15, 201115 yr comment_27747 I do hate the preorder bonus stuff. Use to be a time when you wanted extras you'd buy the collectors edition and get all sorts of cool maps and books etc. Hell, there use to be a time when you bought a game and it had some depth to the packaging period. Now you have to pay extra just to get a few in game BS item. Nickel and Dime. Report
January 15, 201115 yr comment_27767 Want to know why game companies do this?Because we (game players) at large continue to buy and get bent over the counter at purchase.DLC and alternate pre-order "bonuses" will only get worse if the consumers continue to take it. Personally I'll wait till the GOTY edition or something that has everything in it several months later. Report

The same can be said for a LOT of commodities. *shrugs*Only problem is we don't get a "fill-up-of-the-year* deal for gasoline. LoL Report
