Kinect Sports - Tall People Issue?

Featured Replies

Jason is 6'3 and has a problem playing Kinect Sports....it won't pick up his movements for the javelin or discuss...could it be because he is tall? Granite and I have no problem playing it. I'm 5'4 and Granite is well up to my hip. Ideas?

Run the fine tune calibration from within the game itself. It will need you to use the little smiley face card. I have the same issue with almost all the games except Dance Central. Make sure it can see his full arm span in the preview window as well.

Those are pretty much the only tips I have found that work.

Well he tried that after I told him to and that didn't work either. I think our Kinect is busted or else we need a tv mount for on the top of the tv. I saw one the other day at Kmart for $20 I believe.

Yeah, the TV mounts are great. They give the unit an extra foot or 2 of distance and allows it to see the floor better. Especially if you have a lower TV stand like I do. It's worth a shot for you guys. Only $20, so there's not much to lose.

If Jason wasn't a tall ******* there wouldn't be a problem, lol. I'll have to pick up a tv mount tonight after work. Our tv stand is a lower one as well so hopefully this will do the trick! I'm getting tired of hearing him pitch a fit, because the game is screwing him over. It's like...no your size is screwing you over, lol.
