Man, I remember trying for like 2 years to get it. Emailed the guy that had it several times and he basically told me to 'eff off.

That guy let the domain lapse and a squatter came through and paid the GoDaddy charges. Bastards lol.

Yeah. I approached him about 2 years ago as well. Offered him a good amount for an unused domain. He never even replied back. 

In 2015 he let it lapse and I thought I was going to get it, but he apparently renewed it or had a bit of grace period. 

 

He must have finally let it lapse last year and this firm grabbed it. I really shouldn't have got it, but fuck it. Ours now. 

So will it just work like this?

I haven't really decided. I most likely will migrate the entire site over to gamercide.com and have .org redirect there, but it will be a while before I do. Mainly because I'm lazy.
