Watching her squirm made me the happiest I've been in months. She knows what she's saying is a complete set of grade A bullshit. Still, she didn't squirm a fraction of what dispensary owners did when their places were raided by her agency.

the bartender asks the guy, "What's up bud? You look rough." "Well," says the man, "I just found out my dad is gay and he's left my mom for some pool boy." "Ouch," says the bartender, "here, these are on the house today." A few days later the same guy comes in and orders another five shots. "Oh no man, what happened this time?" The bartender asks. "Just found out my brother is gay, he's left his wife for a man he met at a gay bar last week." "I'm sorry man," the bartender says, "these are on the house." Just one week later the guy comes in again and orders ten shots. The bartender asks, "Man! Doesn't anyone in your family like women?" The guy responds, "Ye…

An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn’t been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to…

The only acceptable version of that godawful song is this. You are allowed to sing this. That is all. http://maeva-tiss.tumblr.com/post/45679559014/grammy-2186

A new lawsuit in Manhattan pitting the U.S. Department of Justice against Google offers a rare glimpse of how determined prosecutors are to defend a process that allows federal agents to gain warrantless access to user records, and how committed the Mountain View, Calif., company is to defending its customers' privacy rights against what it views as illegal requests. The Justice Department's lawsuit, filed April 22 and not disclosed until this article, was sparked by Google's decision to rebuff the FBI's legal demands for confidential user data. It centers on the bureau's controversial use of so-called National Security Letters (NSL), a secret electronic data-gathering …

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio . "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more: 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short – enjoy it. 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry…

Home depot confirmed that they were hacked yesterday. 2 things on Home Depot's part that I find unacceptable for a business of their size: 1) The hack has evidence of going on since at least April 2) They were hit with the SAME malware that hit target earlier this year. Due to the amount of time this has been going on, it is estimated that this could possibly be a bigger impact by numbers than Target. We are talking a few weeks compared to several months. http://consumerist.com/2014/09/08/home-depot-confirms-data-breach/ http://consumerist.com/2014/09/08/report-home-depot-victim-of-same-malware-used-in-target-hack/

Pretty much every day now I get a new friend request from some new account that's level one and owns one very cheap game. Last FR had one game and it retailed on the Steam store for fourteen cents. Apparently these are Phishing accounts. You go to add them and Steam apparently asks you to login. Don't. It's set up that way so they can get your Steam details. Someone made a guide. Don't know how old it is, but it seems to cover it well. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=292168825 If you do add someone new and you don't know them, do not click any links they send to you shortly after accepting their friend invites.

Cannabis officially became legal last week in Alaska and Washington, D.C. Despite warnings from the prohibitionists, the sky didn't fall in either place, but some extreme members of Congress wouldn't let it go. They warned the mayor of D.C. with jail time for going ahead with legalization — a disgrace when you consider that it won 70 percent of the vote in November. The D.C. police chief told them to chill out saying, “marijuana smokers are not going to attack and kill a cop...they just want to get a bag of chips and relax. Alcohol is a much bigger problem.” While I applaud the mayor and police chief of D.C., that underlined segment above really irked the shit out of m…
