Xbox 360 users who own the motion based Kinect are in for a treat today. An update for Netflix has gone live allowing Kinect users to their hands and voice to navigate through the many menus of the popular movie and television show database. Do not get to excited yet to toss your controller aside and cuddle up on the couch with a bubbly beverage of your choice. According a Microsoft Representative who spoke with Joystiq, while all of the titles are Kinect enabled now, there are only a select number of titles that are available from the Netflix Kinect dashboard that can use both voice command and hand gestures. "Predator", an Xbox Live hacker who claims he has had over 35 console bans and hacked his way into Trixie360's account last year, has released a new video on Youtube showcasing his latest hacking victim, Xbox Live's Policy Enforcement Lead, Stephen "Stepto" Toulouse and in his video states that Toulouse had it coming. "Predator" who spoke to Joystiq about hacking into Toulouse's account claims that this proves that everybody's account is open for hacking and that he only wants to help. Slighty angry gamers can relax a tiny bit when they go to play Kaos Studio's issue plauged shooter, Homefront. Kaos Studios has announced that a patch for Xbox Live has been released to the masses. The patch addresses profile freezing issues and that's about it. For those of you experiencing other issues, Kaos Studios has said that they are hard at work on making other improvements that will be coming out soon. Back in 2008, Microsoft was facing a public relations worse nightmare, "RROD". "RROD" which stands for Red Ring of Death, was the name that was given to the Xbox 360 by it's outraged buyers after the Xbox 360 would overheat and cause a failure requiring the system to be sent in for repairs or else the gamer spending more money on a brand new console. Fans waiting to get their hands on Gears of 3 in April 2011, will just have to wait a little bit longer. Epic Games and Microsoft announced that Gears of War 3 has been delayed by 5 months pushing it into the 2011 holiday season. Epic's executive producer Rob Fergusson said the following regarding the set back. The man that has enforced Xbox Live's policy to millions has decided to leave his 17 year position at Microsoft. Stephen "Stepto" Toulouse made the announcement on his website saying that Febraury 15th will be his last day on the job. "Despite the wonderful ability in Microsoft to change careers pretty dramatically inside the company, I’ve been there nearly 18 years and it’s the only world I’ve really ever known. I feel too strangely comfortable, and too strangely tied." Peter Molyneux will be leaving Lionhead and Microsoft for a new company, 22 Cans after he is finished working on the Kinect friendly entry into the Fable series, Fable: The Journey. Molyneux made the statement earlier today stating that he is leaving Microsoft on happy terms. Microsoft has finally responded to the many rumors and speculations that they were planning on surprising the industry by releasing a console later this year by stating nothing new is coming in 2012. EA's next entry into the Medal of Honor series has been ousted by Game Informer's Jim Reiley over Twitter. Game Informer is claiming that Danger Close will be working on the game and also handling the online multiplayer instead of DICE. The gaming mag is also claiming that the game will releasing this coming October. Sega games on a Nintendo console here in America? That is correct. The ESRB has rated two Sega Game Gear games for Nintendo's 3DS. The Game Gear games are Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble which happens to be a favorite of mine and Shinobi. Both have received an "E" for "everyone" rating. For those of you that are not up on your handheld knowledge, the Sega Game Gear was Sega's take on the handheld craze that released here in the states in 1991. Valve had stated that free DLC would be coming out over the summer. Well, it's now near the middle of Fall, and finally Valve has released details on Portal 2's first DLC pack, titled "Peer Review". The DLC will add a new set of courses for Atlas and P-Body to complete, continuing the story of the pair of lovable robots "as you puzzle your way through a mysterious new co-op test track and once again match wits with GLaDOS." Also included are challenge courses for both the multiplayer and singleplayer components, backed up with leaderboard support.
