Game Politics is reporting that video games sales saw a decent sales decrease of 20% during the month of July. This has been the eighth consecutive drop since November 2011. One console did manage to make a buck during the month of July. The Xbox 360 remained on top of the console market for the 19th consecutive month moving 230,000 units. Both Nintendo and Sony did not release figures for the month of July. Is this decrease in sales another sign of economic times taking a toll on the gaming industry or just the long summer video game drought that gamers face in the rather boring summer months? 9. In Nintendo's world there are two different types of indie developers. The "Garage" developer who has an idea, but little to no experience that apparently according to this little quote are only envisioning themselves of a developer and are not passionate about their "craft" and then there is the full on "Indie" developer who has a lot of experience and worked with bigger developers and publishers and that is who Nintendo wants to work with. No surprise there Fils-Aime. "We've been clear that we want to work with independent developers who understand this business, who have experience in this business. These are people who spent time working with larger publishers and la…

A lawyer from Horsham, PA is claiming that he has been misled about the Microsoft Points that he “purchased” to buy things through the Marketplace. Samuel Lassof is letting the accusations fly after he received an invoice stating that he made transactions buying points, but Lassof is saying that it’s Microsoft fault, because he couldn’t complete those transactions due to the way their download system works. The lawsuit which was filed in late January details these complaints that include "fraudulent handling" and that he feels that other XBL members are being taken advantage of as well. Peter Molyneux has said that Fable III is moving on from the RPG category. In fact Fable III is more of an action/adventure title now. "I'm not sure I even call Fable an RPG anymore, certainly not a 1990s RPG, for sure. "In a way, you could look at it and say it's like an action adventure. There's a lot of drama, there a lot of story, there's a lot of emotion in there - but with levelling up. I love that levelling up....." (VG247) This statement was made during Microsoft's X10 event where new details emerged about the upcoming RPG-less game. Fable III will not be sporting a health bar this time around. Instead when your character gets hurt, the screen will begin chang…

During the Conan O 'Brien fiasco, Microsoft made an attempt to get the late night comedian to do shows for Xbox Live, however Executive Producer Jeff Ross revealed that Microsoft really did not show any plans for what they planned to do with Conan and instead signed with TBS. "A lot of the conversations were 'well, it's a show, but it's not a show and there are no breaks, but maybe there are breaks and it's not 60 minutes, it's this' and nobody really knew what it was," Ross told Morris. "So it was really going to be a leap of faith to jump in with these guys and figure something out which we didn't know. Plus there were 100 people of jobs and that didn't bode well …
