In late March, Microsoft filed for registration of three new trademarks that each bare the name "Fusion" in one way or another. This filing has sparked rumors of a Kinect only series to feature the name, "Fusion". Fusion Genesis, Fusion Sentinent, and Fusion Vault are all names that appeared on the filing and according to IGN, the Australian Classification Board has a rating of PG for Fusion Genesis which features mild science fiction violence and coarse language. Many gamers started speculating that this might be an announcement for a new Fuzion Frenzy series, however "Fusion" in the filing is spelled with an "s" not a "z". Recently, EA's Sports Division head honcho Peter Moore sat down with Gamastura and discussed the techonology of the Wii U and why offline gaming is a thing of the past. "Unfortunately, the circumstances didn't allow us to make a 360 exclusive," stated Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon in a statement to Eurogamer regarding the question that left many wondering why the Xbox 360 did not get an exclusive character like the Playstation 3 version did with one of Sony's most recognizable characters, Kratos from the God of War series. With the tight lippedness that is going on around NetherRealm Studios many are speculating that NetherRealm wanted to include Master Chief or Marcus Fenix however their contract with Sony regarding the exclusive Kratos has some underlying terms about what the term "exclusive" meant or that Microsoft wants to add an ico…

If you picked up Nintendo's latest console offering the Wii U and are a fan of the Metro series, don't expect to see a Metro game on the console...ever. Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games slapped Nintendo right across their already chapped butt cheeks, by calling the console's CPU "horrible". Speaking to NowGamer, 4A Games Chief Technical Officer Oles Shishkovtsov, shared his very blatant thoughts about Nintendo's newest console by stating, "'The Wii U has a horrible, slow CPU". Fellow 4A games employee Huw Benyon echoed the same response saying that they had hoped to work something out with the console, but the impact on the overall quality "wasn't worth pursuing". T…

Ninja Gaiden, one of the toughest games to ever grace a console is back and there's a brutal trailer to prove it. At GDC, Tecmo revealed a teaser trailer that shows a bloody and yellow eyed Ryu, shoving a sword into presumably an enemy and then about to reveal himself when it cuts away to a screen that says, "Unmask E3 2011". Imagine running down the street, pulling out a brightly colored vibrator, and smacking random strangers with it. You will be able to do this in Saint's Row: The Third. Now imagine running down that same street and taking a jar that you previously farted in to and tossing it like a grenade at some unsuspecting stranger. This you will not be able to do. Make sense? Didn't think so. The team behind Grand Theft Auto's worst nightmare, THQ''s Voilition talked to Game Informer about the not allowed "Farts in a Jar" idea and described censoring the latest installment of the franchise to porn. "It's like defining porn. I can't define it, but I know when I see it," stated Se…

Back in the 90s, when fighters reined supreme in the arcades, console conversions could only hope to get all the characters and stages to fit on tiny gray cartridges and skippy, easy-to-scratch CDs. It wasn't until the Dreamcast brought Soul Calibur home in 1999 that consoles had finally proven to be superior to the arcade version in almost every way, and that spelled the death knell for arcades...at least in the U.S. Today, Japanese arcades still thrive, but arcades are all but extinct in the U.S. Two years ago, when Street Fighter 4 was in the preliminary stages of revive the fighting game market, Japan released SF4 in the arcades as a sort of beta test. Now, accord…

In a rather bold statement by Sony about the successor to their handheld device, the PSP, Sony claims that the PSP2 "is as powerful as the PS3". In a report by MCV, Sony dropped details on the PSP2 as "having HD screen with twin control sticks in the familiar brick form factor" and MCV is claiming that "there is potential for a phone to be included". More details will be coming on January 27, as Sony prepares an announcement about the handheld for GDC. A mini handheld portable version of the PS3 would be great, but claims and facts are two separate things. Let's see what the future holds Sony before jumping to conclusions. via MCV Click here to view the article
