  2. It appears that the much rumored Halo movie is back on the front burner of the rumor mill after a french press release claims that Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks are backing the film set to release in 2012. The press release which happens to be for the Forerunner based Halo novel, Halo: Cryptum clearly states, " A film adaptation is set in 2012. It will be conducted jointly by two heavyweights of American cinema: Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks." Does this mean that a Halo movie might release around the same time as Halo 4 in winter 2012? Or is this just simply another rumor that needs to be put to rest until Microsoft steps forward and says, "yes a Halo film is being p…

Hello….my name is Siren and I am a recovering achievement addict. Screw it, I am a full blown achievement loving addict. You hear me, you! How dare you sit there and judge me with your eyes as you read this. Well eat my words, I Siren am an achievement addict. An achievement whore if you would like to go that far. Hey, when you know something to be the truth, why deny it? I am sitting here typing this up as my punishment. That’s right. They decided to punish for me for my latest antics. “I guess you haven’t learned your lesson from the last two times,” is what they said. So they took away my pretty blue controller and my hard drive and memory unit. “You can hav…

Teaser trailers are a tricky treat. Designed to evoke knee-jerk excitement upon initial announcement, they can also evoke more confusion than concept, and such was the case with the teaser for Mega Man Universe, that depicted a claymation Mega Man, Ryu, Sir Arthur, and even the "mega man" from the original US cover taking on various classic baddies. Exciting? Definitely. Confusing? No doubt. Keiji Inafune, one of the creators behind the blue bomber, admits the teaser may have been a bit TOO teasing, so he offers us a minute of gameplay that...seems to just give us more questions than answers. But the game is definitely showing its roots, as the footage appears to t…

Those rumors can be put to rest now, because the countdown is over and the reveal is a live action film made by a viral advertising company out of Canada who wanted to show Activision that their profitable series could be made into a movie. 20. Do you like to play open ended sandbox-styled games like [insert any open-ended game here]? According to DICE's Patrick Bach who is serving as the Executive Producer to Battlefield 3, you are in the minority because sandbox games just plain suck. "In some cases they aren’t, but in most cases sandbox games are hardcore, boring, hard to get into and they are not very popular." You hear that kiddos? If you play GTA, Saint's Row, Red Dead Remption, or even Battlefield 2: Bad Company that DICE worked on that is considered "sandboxish" then you are playing a game that is at the bottom of every gaming barrel. via Edge Online Click here to view the article

Capcom has just bitched slapped those of you who purchased the March release of Street Fighter x Tekken with one little statement. Capcom's statement was in response to the outcry from gamers regarding the on the disc DLC and unlocked at later date downloadable DLC for Street Fighter x Tekken. Just to clarify this issue even further, Capcom is saying that downloadable content on the game disc that you play on day one is no different from downloadable content that is either "locked" on the disc for a later date or downloadable content that you download at a later date from something like the Xbox Live Marketplace. Some gamers have been so outraged that they filed compla…

  22. Matt Firor, Game Director of the Elder Scrolls Online has told Game Informer that the Elder Scroll's newly announced MMO main story will be single player only. Their reasoning behind the decision is to have your individual character feel like the only hero in the game and also to avoid the awkardness that is seeing other gamers waiting to beat the boss you are currently fighting. Not sure how fans will react to that considering that they have been beating down Bethesda's door for years requesting an Elder Scrolls MMO that can play with their fellow gamers including co-op main story play. via Game Informer (Video Interview) Click here to view the article

Ubisoft Annecy's multiplayer game director Damien Kieken confirmed the news that there will be no multiplayer beta for Assassin's Creed 3 claiming that Ubisoft would rather spend time perfecting the game, then putting out a time consuming beta. "To be honest, it’s something we want to do every year because we get community feedback that helps us tune the game. It is also a good reward for the community that has followed us from the beginning. But doing a beta takes a lot of time; we’d need to polish a version, submit it to the platform holders and support it when it’s out. And all the time put into the beta doesn’t go into the final game. Because we wanted to push so many…
