Nintendo has made a disappointing announcement regarding their upcoming console, Wii U. The console will be region locked. Nintendo confirmed the news to Famitsu which was later translated by NeoGaf user Cheesmeister3k who translates gaming events in Japan on Twitter; "That can be played on the Wii U is restricted by a region-lock feature; software not sold in the same region cannot be played". Japan has found a new a way to train employees working at the fast food chain McDonald's, making learning everyday life skills through trail and error and let's not forget common sense, a thing of the past. Two Nintendo DS's are being given to every McDonald's in Japan nationwide to help train part time employees. Each DS is fitted with eSmart software that McDonald's is claiming will cut down the amount of time that it takes to train part time employees to 20 hours. The eSmart software will show employees how to complete different kitchen duties including deep frying and how to speak with customers. The DS training program will cost McDonald's $2.2 million dollars.…

According to IGN, Nintendo will be revealing a new console that is higher powered than the Xbox 360 and PS3 at this year's E3. Game Informer is also claiming the same thing by citing mulitple sources and that the new console will be able to run games at HD resolutions. Nintendo is dropping the price of the Wii to $149.99 as of May 15th. The black or white colored console will now come bundled with Mario Kart Wii and the Wii wheel accessory instead of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. The Wii wheel accessory can purchased seperately for $9.99. Also announced is the "Nintendo Selects" lineup of games that include Animal Crossing: City Folks, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Mario Super Sluggers. The fiscal year ending in March 2011 has proven to be a bloodbath for Nintendo as their loss of earnings has been reported. "There is no way to avoid the fact that if we released a 40MB version of Super Meat Boy it would be a shit version of the game, It's a lose lose situation, but the fact of the matter is if we release a shitty game, we will have to live with that for the rest of our careers and have to cop to the fact that it is a shitty game." It appears that Lara Croft has lost the "Tomb Raider" name. Lara's developer, Crystal Dynamics announced that a new Lara Croft game is on the horizon, but missing from the game is the name "Tomb Raider". Instead the game is being called, "Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light" based on the logo.
