Be sure to get your hands on the July issue of OXM. They are releasing some hot details thanks to 343 Industries on Halo 4 including an explanation of the "two" single player campaigns that mesh into not only co-op with your friends but also Master Chief's story. 343 Industries explains the Infinity in Halo 4 as a way for your own "persistent Spartan IV" who is on board the UNSC Infinity to feed into the main storyline spawning a "second campaign". How are they doing this you ask? After Halo 4 releases, 343 will be releasing four short CGI mini-episodes each week starring the four new Spartan IV's. Your Spartan IV's story can be played with your co-op friends online an…

  2. The Razer Onza is Razer's first proper attempt at making a gamepad for consoles. Can this gamepad created by a company known for making some of the fanciest PC gaming peripherals around live up to the hype, or is it not the godly, k/d count enhancing, reaction boosting uber controller that everyone makes it out to be? The Razer Onza comes in two varieties. The first is the $50 Razer Onza Tournament Edition which has everything the standard Xbox 360 controller has (aside from chatpad compatibility), with added features including: two extra multi-function buttons on the shoulder that can be mapped to any other button on the controller (excluding the d-pad), adjustable resis…

On February 7th, the Playstation Network will be going under a cosmetic overhaul. The Playstation Network is being renamed to Sony Entertainment Network. Sony cites that it will easier for users to associate the Sony Playstation brand with all of the Sony's products. The name change will not affect current PSN account holders other than the "PSN" part. "The rebranding of PlayStation Network accounts to Sony Entertainment Network accounts is a change in name only," explained Sony in an email to Eurogamer. "Your username or password will not change, nor are we asking you to change them." Sony will be issuing a new Terms of Service and User Agreement along with the name …

  5. Fans of Final Fantasy might have said, "oh no" when Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced last year, but that didn't stop Square Enix from continuing on with the followup to 2010's Final Fantasy XIII that found gamers following the story of Lightning as her life intertwined with other characters through the game. Recently at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square announced a release date for Final Fantasy XIII-2 as January 31, 2012 here in the states, but also a Japan only Playstation 3 bundle that features Lightning herself on the console. So far fans of the series have not been to accepting of Final Fantasy XIII-2 considering the huge flop that was Final Fantasy X-2, so S…

The Anime/Drama video app was made available on last Tuesdays update, but if you didn’t notice it’s understandable. At the time you had to navigate to the PS3 store and wait for the little logo to pop up in one of the rolling ads that slowly switch out on the store’s front page. After downloading the app, Crunchyroll appears in the same video section with the likes of Netflix and Hulu. It’s similar to those as well with a few exceptions. First it has more quantity and quality than both in the Anime and Drama genres, as well as having current running shows updated up to an hour after they air in Japan. From standout Dramas like My Lovely Sam-Soon, Prince’s First Love, One …

Developed by: Techland Published by: Deep Silver Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, PS3 Players: 1-4 Rated M for Mature by the ESRB It's the zombie apocalypse and you're trapped in paradise, or is it hell? Regardless, you must fend for yourself and meet up with other survivors to get through this calamity. Fortunately, you've brought some friends. Dead Island is a four player cooperative open world zombie role-playing game. That's certainly a mouthful, but it makes for a surprisingly fresh concept considering how oversaturated the market for zombie games is. There are plenty of zombie games, and even more RPGs, but surprisingly few hybrids of the two, not counting RPGs that happe…

  10. Playstation 3 users have been barking up Activision and Treyarch's tree shortly after the release of Black Ops 2, due to growing issues of in game freezing and server problems. Keep in mind that the 2010 launch of the first Black Ops was also plagued with similar issues on the PS3. Gamers have been reporting repeated issues of freezing in both single player and multiplayer modes and also not being able to connect to a server when trying to play online. Activision has released a statement over Twitter stating that they are actively working on a fix to the growing number of complaints. Master Chief's big return to your living room has hit a minor snag. The creative director behind Halo 4 has announced that he has left the buidling. Ryan Payton made the shocking announcement and broke news that he formed his own studio, Camouflaj. People were wondering why he would leave Microsoft and 343 Industries when he was working on one of the series that made the Xbox what it is today. "Some people say I'm crazy, but I want to make a game that one billion people play at once, and it's something that hits them harder than a great book or film." Payton furthered added that the Halo 4 he envisioned was not what Microsoft wanted. "The Halo I wanted to build was fu…

According to the Gamasutra who posted a link to the FCC document, this service will be a pay to watch television service and is rumored to be either "a cable, FIOS, or satellite company in the US." Molyneux who departed Microsoft in March 2012 has never spoken about the reasons behind his departure until now. Well sort of. Molyneux recently admitted in an interview with european PC and indie game show Rezzie that one of the reasons he left Microsoft was because of a parody Twitter account that pokes fun at Molyneux's over excited nature, named Peter Molydeux. "...I tell you one thing: he's far funnier, far more daring and far more engaging than I will ever be. He just comes up with an endless supply of amazing and incredible id…

  20. You be the judge Crystal Dynamics recently revealed that along with the rips, tears, and bruises of a much younger and inexperienced Lara Croft in their upcoming reboot Tomb Raider, Ms. Croft will also face an attempted rape. This statement was later clarified by Crystal Dynamics where they claimed their words were twisted by online gaming website Kotaku during the interview that has seemed to outrage fans of the series and the gaming population in general. So what's the big deal? Why can't a video game explore a more mature and vulnerable storyline involving a female that is usually strong and very dependent? Movies, novels, etc...seem to be able to get away with tell…

The hackers vs. Sony battle continues as Sony's SVP and Chief Information Officer Philip Reitinger made a short announcement late yesterday evening stating that hackers were once again attempting to compromise Sony's Playstation Network and Entertainment Networks. Sony has temporarily disabled some accounts that may have been affected by the attempted hack. Whether or not you believe that the attacks came from another source other than Sony is up to you to decide, but at least this time Sony is giving their users the heads up instead of waiting for a few weeks to pass like they did during the huge Sony hack that took the Playstation Network and accounts down for weeks. …

Asura's wrath is great indeed, and now he has returned to set things right. Let's clear one thing up right away. As much as it might seem so, this is not a Japanese God of War clone. There are certainly some similarities, but Asura's Wrath is very different from God of War or other similar hack'n'slash titles. In fact very few, if any, games are all that much like Asura's Wrath at all. The approach taken is quite unlike most games you may have seen. You spend as much time wat…
