Oh Mr. Payne, it appears that you are really turning out to be a pain. Take-Two has announced that Max Payne 3 has been delayed until May 2012. Reasons behind the delay were not revealed in the press release, however Take-Two stated Rockstar would give details later today. Take-Two also announced a net loss for the fiscal year. Fusible did a tiny bit of detective work regarding Activision's record breaking Call of Duty: Black Ops and discovered that not only was blackops2.com switched over recently to MarkMonitor which happens to be the privacy service that Activision is a client to, but also that in August Activision bought the domains blackops3.com, blackops4.com, blackops5.com, and blackops6.com making it appear that not only is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is on the horizon but that there will be a total of 6 in the Black Ops series. This should not come as a surprise to anybody with the never ending supply of games that share the name Call of Duty, but Black Ops 6? Really Activision? via Fusib…

Hot on the heels of Microsoft swatting away rumors that the next Xbox was releasing later this year, Sony has announced that they are in no hurry to reveal anything having to do with the Playstation 4. Sony France CEO Philippe Cardon, told french website Lepoint.fr that Sony will be the last to announce a new console. "The Wii is under time pressure because it's in decline. As far as we're concerned, we're under a lot less pressure. We were the last to release the PS3. We will probably be the last to announce something." This announcement should come as no surprise considering that Sony was the last of three brands to release a next gen console during the bitter console …

What’s in a name? Well not much if you are referring to Nintendo’s upcoming console the Wii U. After complaints that the company has received since the announcement of the Wii U, rumors have been spreading across the interwebs that Nintendo is considering changing the name of the console. Sources close to Nintendo are claiming that Nintendo is worried that there might be confusion over the name of their newest console like with the numerous other different named DS handhelds. Nintendo has not confirmed anything regarding a possible name change so we will have to leave this one at the rumor door, but I do wonder if they thought maybe about changing the name to Nintendo R…

It appears that the story of the characters from Final Fantasy XIII may not be over. Spotted by superannuation was the registration of domain name for a new website that is being called at the moment, "whois.domaintools.com/finalfantasy13-2game.com". The domain name was registered on January 11 under the alias "Coporation Service Company" which Square Enix has used in the past for websites for other Square Enix titles. Final Fantasy X, the story of Tidus and Yuna was the last Final Fantasy game to get a direct sequel and many fans were hoping that it would remain that way considering that FFX-2 was almost a complete disaster. Here's to hoping that this is not FFXIII-2,…

  12. In what could be one of the either worst or smartest moves in online video game history, all signs are pointing to the fact that within a few months Activision might be introducing a stand alone version of Call of Duty for pay to play online multiplayer use only. According to statements made by analysts Wedbush Securities, they expect this to occur in "first quarter of 2011". "Activision remains a top pick, primarily due to the company's potential to create and monetize a second tier of multiplayer online gaming for its Call of Duty franchise... We expect this to occur during the first quarter of 2011." No official comment has come from Activision's camp, but gamers have …

  16. It's only Tuesday and the rumor mill is already going strong with rumors coming from Nintendo and Microsoft's camps. E3 2012 came to a close a couple weeks ago and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo each had their underwhelming and rather dull showcases for the upcoming year, but is there a reason why? More so on Nintendo's side? According to european website Non Specific Action, an insider claims that Nintendo held back during this year's E3 and that they had two huge Wii U games to announce, but decided at the last minute to hold off on those announcements, because they didn't want to take the buzz surrounding their upcoming console to jump ship to these new games. Both …

If the recent filings of an FCC document are correct than it appears that Fox Entertainment will be heading to video game consoles. According to the Gamasutra who posted a link to the FCC document, this service will be a pay to watch television service and is rumored to be either "a cable, FIOS, or satellite company in the US." Hulu and Netflix are already offered on the current generation of consoles leading many to wonder how this rumor would impact the use of those services as well as what consoles would get this rumored pay to watch television service. via Gamasutra Click here to view the article

  20. The rumor mill is running rampant today after an interview between Italy's Xbox 360 Magazine and Silent Hill: Downpour developer Vatra Games' Radek Marek over whether or not the survival horror game that is due to hit shelves sometime in Fall 2011 will have mulitplayer. During the interview that explores the environment and enemies within Silent Hill: Downpour, Italy's Xbox 360 Magazine asked Marek about the possibility of mulitplayer being included in Downpour. The answer the magazine received is interesting, but also a little confusing. "At the moment there will be no multiplayer modes in Silent Hill: Downpour, but Konami are investigating a separate chapter devoted en…

  21. Do you feel like rewinding a few years or so ago? Bethesda has announced that they are releasing a double pack of games that include Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The pack will release on April 3rd and will cost you $29.99 for the Xbox 360 versions and $19.99 for the PC. If you are planning on purchasing the pack ignore the front of the package that says, “2006 and 2008 Game of the Year Award winners”, because it does not contain the Game of the Year editions of both games that contain all of the DLC. You still have to fork out the coin for that. via G4TV Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

After finishing the Green Day: Rock Band demo the above picture shows the standard Rock Band bass, drum, guitar, and mic icons, but as you can see there is also what appears to be a piano icon. What does this mean for the franchise? What will the set list look like for the next game? Only time will tell, but I think Stevie Wonder (Better than has been previously done with this one hopefully), Ray Charles, Elton John, and other great pianist could easily make their way in to the music gaming fray with this new instrument.
