Did you buy Activision’s latest video game music love child, DJ Hero? Regardless of if you did or didn’t, would you care if I told there is going to be a sequel? In an interview with Kelowna, DJ Guetta who is the European Ambassador for DJ Hero has announced that he will be working on DJ Hero 2. “I think it's amazing, this game, and I'm going to work on the No. 2 version, “It's a really crazy game. After 10 minutes, you get the rush that a DJ gets after 10 years of practising. I have fun with it, but you know what? I can't go to the maximum level. It's too difficult for me. It's crazy.” Nobody from Activision has confirmed that DJ Hero 2 is in the works, but it appears f…

Sony CEO Jack Tretton made his Sony fanbase a huge promise that turns out might just be a big pile of poo. Tretton made the announcement at this year's E3, regarding exclusive Saint's Row: The Third multiplayer content that only the PS3 was getting. He promised users that they would be receiving an "over the top exclusive mulitplayer game mode.". According to the fine fellows over at Joystiq both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions are the same and that there are no differences in either version. Joystiq did reach out to THQ and received a big fat, "no comment.". Many websites are speculating that Tretton was speaking about Whored Mode, however the PC, Xbox 360, an…

Have you tried the insanely difficult and often maddening world of Namco Bandai's RPG, Dark Souls? If not, I can't say I blame you. I love insanely difficult games, however this is one I will not touch out of respect for my controller to ensure that it stays in one piece. If you have yet to try it, because you are debating on whether or not to torture yourself through grueling gameplay, then you will be happy to know that Namco has ensured that just about every gamer gets to play Dark Souls by making sure to ship 1.5 million units worldwide. So wait on my fellow gamers. Out of the those 1.5 million worldwide units, those of us here in the United States have received t…

It appears that Xbox 360 owners will also be able to get their hands on the Devil May Cry HD Collection. While Capcom has yet to confirm anything, the ESRB appears to have beaten them to the punch. Ratings for the collection that includes Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3 have surfaced online and those ESRB ratings clearly include both the PS3 and 360. The collection has been rumored to be a PS3 exclusive since June after it was spotted on a Spanish shop list. via Eurogamer Click here to view the article

BAFTA’s nominees for the 2012 video game awards have been announced and apparently we live in an alternate universe where games that suck or fail miserably at trying to be different (yeah you LA Noire) deserve to come out on top. Batman: Arkham City and LA Noire faired pretty well receiving most of the nominations including Best Game, Game Innovation, Artistic Achievement, and Action. LA Noire also scored a nomination in the Debut category. Other titles receiving their share of nominations include Modern Warfare 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, FIFA 12, Portal 2, and Assassin’c Creed’ Revelations. For the complete list of where these games and other games fall, please vi…

In a move that really should surprise no one, Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights to bring a Mass Effect movie to the big screen. With the success of the game(s), this is no real shocker for anyone. With the likes of Halo, Bioshock, and rumors in the industry of a God of War film, a game with such a deep story could easily be brought to your local cinema. Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend) has been hired to pen the script. His work hasn't really impressed me thus far, but with him being a more character driven writer, it could be a good thing for this project. Also, if the studio could snag Matthew Fox (Who Commander Shephard's look was modeled after) fresh off his…

Sad news has surfaced out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 16 year old Kendall Anderson attempted to kill his mother two times and when both attempts failed, he beat her to death with a chair leg after Kendall's mother Rashida Anderson took away his Playstation. On Thanksgiving, Kendall and Rashida had gotten into a lengthy argument when Rashida decided to take his Playstation away as punishment. The next day Kendall spent three hours debating if he should kill his mother or not and ultimately decided to do so while she was sleeping. On the first attempt, Kendall tried to beat her to death with a hammer. When that failed he decided to "cremate" her putting her body into t…

Nintendo's Game Boy Advance which has seen three different designs since it's release in 2001 is officially on it's way out as Gamestop announces that they will no longer be accepting Game Boy Advance handheld devices or games. According to Joystiq, on April 2 the gaming retail giant will no longer be taking anything that has to do with the 11 year old handheld. Whether or not this will change prices of the handheld remains to be seen as Gamestop's current prices for a Game Boy Advance are ranging from $44.99 to $24.99 and have not adjusted yet. via Joystiq Click here to view the article

Robbie Bach, president of the entertainment devices division, announced in a video interview earlier today that Microsoft plans to offer something akin to the compilations of older games that have been hitting the market lately. See Bach's quote after the break. It will be interesting to see what games are offered in this new "Game Room". Hopefully it won't just be a link or repository for the retro games that are already available on the Marketplace. (Update) As expected, Game Room was announced. Interestingly enough it will be avail…

Those of you who have yet to install Bethesda's recent patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on your Xbox 360 might want to wait. Gamers have flocked to the Skyrim forums and are expressing their outrage after many have discovered their game is just about unplayable after installing the update.
