  4. Zen Studios has had a steady stream of new tables for their really great pinball simulator Pinball FX2. As all my other table reviews has shown, even someone who isn’t a huge fan of pinball and have a blast with these tables. Will Sorcerer’s Apprentice keep this trend rolling? Here’s the rundown of the table’s story. Jake and Amanda come face to face with an Evil Sorcerer in his citadel. The kids have no choice other than to fight the Sorcerer and his summoned creatures by using their pinball prowess and a specter named Whisper. A fairly simple premise but once you get down to the pinball, things get really interesting. The table has a ton of rail chutes and ramps …

  5. The hackers vs. Sony battle continues as Sony’s SVP and Chief Information Officer Philip Reitinger made a short announcement late yesterday evening stating that hackers were once again attempting to compromise Sony’s Playstation Network and Entertainment Networks. Sony has temporarily disabled some accounts that may have been affected by the attempted hack. “We want to let you know that we have detected attempts on Sony Entertainment Network, PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment (“Networks”) services to test a massive set of sign-in IDs and passwords against our network database. These attempts appear to include a large amount of data obtained from one or …

  6. In the upcoming Battlefield 3, there will be nine multiplayer maps. These maps are the ones ‘that combined bring out everything we want both veteran and new Battlefield players to experience in Battlefield 3 multiplayer’ says DICE’s David McDonagh. So here is the list and names of the maps you can expect to run, duck, and drive in on Oct. 25th. Caspian Border This map is one of the few that is ‘lush and green’ and is supposed to be an obvious choice for players who want to play with vehicles. This is a large map where base distances are usually too long to cover just on foot, so vehicles will play a major part in this map. Damavand Peak This map takes place on a mountain …

  7. Last week the brillant minds at Ninja Bee which happen to be behind one of the Xbox Live Arcade’s most addicting games A World of Keflings, announced that new alien-friendly downloadable content would be arriving soon. Details were a tad bit fuzzy at the time regarding a release date and price, however my fellow kefling addicts can calm down now because Ninja Bee has released the details. On October 25th , the It Came From Outer Space DLC will release on the Xbox Live Marketplace for a tiny lumpsum of 320 points. Not too shabby considering that the content will add anywhere between two to four hours of gameplay and increase the game’s total content to 30%. It Came From…

The World of Warcraft annual pass can be paid in monthly installements just like a month to month subscription however where it differs is that you get Diablo 3 for free, the in game mount Tyrael’s Charger, and guaranteed access into World of Warcraft expansion beta. Developed by: Iridium Studios Platforms: PC and Xbox LIVE indie games Players: 1 Puzzle Quest proved that adding RPG elements to a tried and true game design like a match three puzzle can turn a game into absolute crack. But what happens when you add RPG elements to a rhythm game? Sequence is a bit of an odd mix. It’s a rhythm game with RPG elements such as item drops, equipment and leveling, but it requires just as much skill progression on the player’s end as it does for developing your character’s level. In the game you must fight a series of monsters and a boss on each of the seven floors of a tower, with your ultimate goal being to reach the top and escape. Thre…

  16. RedLynx, the creators behind the ever so popular and madly addiciting arcade game Trials may have been aquired by Ubisoft this morning, however that is not stopping them from working on their continued relationship with Microsoft to get the next bone breaking Trials game out the door. However fans who have been waiting for an announcement on a release date for the next game in the must have series, Trials Evolution, might have to wait a bit longer, because it appears that Trials has fallen under the “when it’s done” trap. RedLynx’s Jason Bates announced shortly after the aquisition went public that the game will release whenever it is completed and that Ubisoft is respec…

  17. In a surprising and not so scandalous news flash, Sony’s Playstation 3 sales are finally catching up to Microsoft’s sales of the Xbox 360. Sony released their financial reports for the Q2 fiscal year and show that the Playstation has moved 55.5 million units worldwide, just about catching and placing them in position to be on the verge of passing their rival console, the Xbox 360 which has moved 56.7 million units worldwide. It is nice to see something good coming out of Sony’s camp instead of the usual hackfest that it seems has been haunting the brand since the beginning of the year. via MCV Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

So wait on my fellow gamers. Out of the those 1.5 million worldwide units, those of us here in the United States have received t…
