In a surprising and not so scandalous news flash, Sony's Playstation 3 sales are finally catching up to Microsoft's sales of the Xbox 360. Sony released their financial reports for the Q2 fiscal year and show that the Playstation has moved 55.5 million units worldwide, just about catching and placing them in position to be on the verge of passing their rival console, the Xbox 360 which has moved 56.7 million units worldwide. It is nice to see something good coming out of Sony's camp instead of the usual hackfest that it seems has been haunting the brand since the beginning of the year. via MCV Click here to view the article

EA has announced that Battlefield 3 will have a day one update that gamers will be required to install in order to play the game and that all media reviews of the shooter be held off until a week after it's release. This December your favorite characters from the X-Men universe will be appearing in the second of four tables coming to Marvel Pinball as part of Zen Studio's Marvel Pinball: Vengence and Virtue event on the PS3 and XBLA. The second table will feature events that have been inspired by the popular X-Men comic book series and includes when Magneto destroyed the Brooklyn Bridge and events based on the Dark Phoenix Saga. Capcom has confirmed that The Devil May Cry HD collection that contains Devil May Cry 1, 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening will be releasing on April 3, 2012. We all know it's coming. EA even confirmed back in early November after Battlefield 3 released, that there will be a Battlefield 4. Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD is going to be hitting the Playstation Network on December 27th in North America for $14.99. It will also be releasing in stores worldwide, except for the Far East/Russia/Portugal and the Ukraine. This verison is not going to ship with the Move or stereoscopic 3D support as was originally planned. You can, however, expect to see them in future updates in the new few months. What? No Sazh?! That's right, there is a rumor swirling about that we might not see one of the more popular figures from Final Fantasy XIII. Details from a Japanese magazine, Dengeki Playstation include news that Sazh won't be appearing in the new Final Fantasy XIII-2. However, the magazine does say that according to a Square-Enix representative, "Final Fantazy XIII-2 will continue after the release, so look forward to later on." The Darkness 2's "Vendettas" four player co-op has been detailed by 2K Games. The campaign co-op mode features four characters who are all wielding weapons that harness the power of The Darkness.
