EA has sent out their press invites to an upcoming announcement regarding the Medal of Honor series that will take place at this year's Game Developer's Conference. The announcement is set to happen on March 6th and the masses are predicting the reveal of Medal of Honor 2. Not too shocking, but at least it does not contain Call of Duty. via CVG

EA announced yesterday that they are planning on releasing a new multiplayer mode for their successful hit Medal of Honor.  The mode, "Clean Sweep" will have gamers relying on their skill and their teammate's skill in this elimination style gameplay.  The new mode will come with 2 new multiplayer maps, Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves, as well as redone maps for fan favorites, Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins.  The mode is scheduled to release on November 2, 2010 and will be free to those of you

EA's next entry into the Medal of Honor series has been ousted by Game Informer's Jim Reiley over Twitter. Game Informer is claiming that Danger Close will be working on the game and also handling the online multiplayer instead of DICE. The gaming mag is also claiming that the game will releasing this coming October. Microsoft has announced their Arcade Next promotion which will feature 4 unique games and see an increase from 200 to 400 gamerscore points and contain up to 30 achievements for Xbox Live Arcade games. Major Nelson released a video showing the new Xbox 360 controller that is slated for November 9th.  It sports a newly improved D-Pad and new more comfortable triggers, as well as newly colored face buttons..  The D-Pad twists and becomes an actual D-Pad instead of the disc based pad of the current design.  The new controller will sell in a Play And Charge Kit for $64.99.  It remains to be seen how well it performs, so I'll reserve judgment until I get my hands on one. According to IGN, Nintendo will be revealing a new console that is higher powered than the Xbox 360 and PS3 at this year's E3. Game Informer is also claiming the same thing by citing mulitple sources and that the new console will be able to run games at HD resolutions. The new console is expected to get a 2012 launch and Nintendo is supposedly hoping that they can bring back third-party developers and "hardcore" fans.

The fiscal year ending in March 2011 has proven to be a bloodbath for Nintendo as their loss of earnings has been reported. Nintendo's shares dropped 66% and according to Joystiq, this marks the third year for profit declines which is not what Nintendo previously predicted. Peter Molyneux will be leaving Lionhead and Microsoft for a new company, 22 Cans after he is finished working on the Kinect friendly entry into the Fable series, Fable: The Journey. Molyneux made the statement earlier today stating that he is leaving Microsoft on happy terms. Molyneux's departure might be causing fans of the Fable series to jump for joy after expressing their disappointment in the turn that the series has taken with the release of Fable III. No news on his replacement will be.
