Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has spent the past five months as the commander of Expedition 35 aboard the International Space Station. While in space, he's made sandwiches, washed

, and wrung

. But on Sunday afternoon, Hadfield provided the internet with his most amazing video yet: a cover of David Bowie's 1969 classic, “Space Oddity.”

Unfortunately, the cover will be Hadfield's final gift to the internet, at least from space; Sunday evening, he

of the ISS to Commander Pavel Vinogradov, the leader of Expedition 36.

Holy crap, this is awesome. The best part is you know it's all actual footage instead of greenscreens, lol.

Is this technically the first music video in space?

I would think it was. I don't ever recall any other videos like this.

Was anyone else worried about that guitar careening into something important, or breaking something sensitive? lol

Okay, this guy is the coolest damn astronaut ever.

I believe I murmured the exact same phrase when I watched it for the first time, Pan. lol

This is absolutely fantastic!  It's sad to say, but the space program needs attention in any form. Glad to see awesome stuff like this doing it.
