Gearbox Software has confirmed that the name of the next major Borderlands 2 DLC expansion is Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. No release date for the DLC is currently available, but it will be free to Borderlands 2 Season Pass holders and retail for $10 (800 MSP) standalone. Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt will be the third of the four Borderlands 2 DLC packs covered by the Season Pass, which Gearbox has promised to have out before June 2013.

The expansion's name was first revealed by the latest PS3 patch for Borderlands 2, which added trophies for the forthcoming DLC to the game. The trophies mention optional hunting missions, discovering certain locations, and an event called “The Fall of Nakayama.” Gearbox has yet to reveal anything else about the expansion.
